Let's Talk About Depression




Depression is a serious illness that can disable
a person in their work, family, and social life.

Many women will experience some of these symptoms occasionally,
especially at stressful times in their lives or at certain
times of the month. But for many women, they live with many
of these smptoms for months and years at a time.

Here are some symtoms:
Sadness, Loss of energy
Feelings of hopelessness or worthlessness
Loss of enjoyment from things that were once pleasurable
Difficulty concentrating,uncontrollable crying
Difficulty making decisions, Irritability
Increased need for sleep or Insomnia or excessive sleep
Unexplained aches and pains
Stomachache and digestive problems
Decreased sex drive, Sexual problems, Headache
A change in appetite causing weight loss or gain
Thoughts of death or suicide, Attempting suicide

If you feel that you may experincing depression,
don't be afraid to get help. See your family doctor.
A doctor can rule out any other medical condtions
that may cause some of these conditions. There are
many medications on the market that can help you
with depression. Don't be afraid of what people think.
Many women haved lived years in fear of being crazy
and what will other's say. Please don't feel like
you don't matter. Sharing is so important. Besides
getting medical attention, it is so important to work
on spiritual healing also. Don't isolate yourself.
Get involved with a Support/Recovery Group. Seek
counseling and stay in fellowship. Listen to Praise
Music and read the Word of God.

"Blessed [be] God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God." ~2 Corinthians 1:3-4~
