Gingerbread Ornaments
Created and written by:Lady Draven

I know the holidays are over but I wanted to share a cute way to make Yule/Christmas ornaments.
Supplies:
Fabric with a pattern and a solid piece for the backing
Pinking Shears
Ribbon
Cordnating thread and needles
Polyfil
Potpouri
First go to your local fabric store and find a cute holiday pattern you can make into ornaments. I found gingerbread men and women. I then took my pinking shears and cut alone the outside of my little people...I didn't go right up to the outline but you might choose to do it different that's fine too.... Then I took my backing fabric and cut that out to match my front. Now I have my top and bottom. I took a gold thread and started to stich my two pieces together and left a big enought gap for me to stuff my little people. I also have a ribbon knotted for my loop to hang my ornament waiting also to be inserted. So now I start to stuff them and I also put pieces of potpouri in as I stuff (this is optional) When I get it full enough I then switch back to my needle and thread and start to close my little people up...When I am almost completely stiched up I add my ribbon put a few more stitches in and then they are finished. You can cut out different shapes and it's a nice little homemade ornament. You don't have to limit these to the tree either. You can make them up for the other holidays or even make them up as sachets for your drawers. Just use your imagination...
Blessings of fun
