A warrior of humanity, a fighter for good. Strugle against the chains of slavery, step up to your powerful preditors. All this and more is what it means to be a Hunter. Being mortal gives you more than a slight disadvantage against beings of uncountable strength and guile. However, you got them by the balls--there's a lot more of you then there are of them. Whether you've trained all of your life, or suddenly decided to take up the cross, you have weapons, Numinae, and guts.
Unfortunatly, its not enough to win a loosing war. Independant Hunters are too often easy prey to the prowling dangers of the night. Joined into an Association, you have a much better chance at living, let alone fighting.
The Inquisition--a religious sect that fights under the ideals of "good vs. evil," their church organization can work to research and protect them. Government Agencies--police, FBI, or "Special Opps," bureaus, they go after the lawbreakers of the supernatural world. Scholarly Institutions--Hunters who quest for knowledge, secrets, and the ultimate, most dangerous weapon to a supernatural: Truth.
As a Hunter, your life will be hard, and dangerous. Most likely, some obscenity will rip your throat out before too long. Every day is one more day towards the end of the line. Its a lonely, lonely life.
