FROM ERICA
I wish to adopt Temperance Lloyd, who was hanged at Bideford in 1682.  I do not have a we site, but as I was scrolling down your list her name literally jumped out at me.  This is a really excellent concept that you have come up with and I would very much like to be a part of it.  Being a solitary practitioner myself, and not comfortable with revealing my beliefs to those around me, I feel that this is some thing that I need to do.
Merry Part & Blessed Be,

Hello, I am one of those who does not have a web page but would like to adopt a witch. My reason behind this is because of my relation to one of the witches burned in the "Witch Hunt." I am related to Elizabeth Newman, burned in Whitechapel England in 1653. Sad to say that I dont know any more information than that. It would be greatly apprectiated if ANYONE could share more information with me as to her history. Anyway I just wanted to send my support and understanding. Please reply with any information to:.

FROM LORI:
My name is Lori, and I am a hereditary witch. We have researched this back to the late 1800's in my family so my interest in the killing of people whether they were or were not witches is heart breaking to me. At first it did not really matter who i adopted on your list, just that a name would be spoken for, but I did find that I was drawn to Rebecca Morris. If her name has not been taken, I would love to adopt hers, if it already has, another name would be fine. Thank You.

IN MEMORY OF
MAGGIE WELLS
....I was travelling in Scotland, near Glenneagles estate, in 1984. There was a stone marker in a field, which said "Maggie Wall, burned as a witch, " and a date in the 1600s.
Can I adopt both of them please?

What you are doing is wonderful. The kindness of strangers can be overwhelming, and gives one hope for the future.
Blessed Be,

IN MEMORY OF
MARY COPPIN
FROM JESSIE
i would like to adopt mary coppin she was accused of witch craft but died in prison of the plague, the reason i picked her? well i have no particular reason. I am doing women's studies at tafe and we are studying women as healers at present witches came into this, we think nothing of using herbs today to heal people and i feel that most of these men and women were only doing the same type of thing but because it didn't always work they were branded a witch.. may all these people be at rest as well as their accursers...
IN MEMORY OF

Merry Meet
I would like to adopt Anne Kerke who was executed at Tyburne, England in 1599.  I've no idea why I was drawn to Anne but I would be honored to be allowed to carry on remembrance of her in prayer and ritual... in the hopes that no one else ever suffers as she did... and so that we don't ever, ever forget... I don't have a website yet, but I guarantee Anne will be regularly remembered.
All Blessings!  Thanks for what you're doing!

SARAH SPINDLER
FROM SARAH SPINDLER:
Hello,
I would like to adopt Sarah Spindler as my witch please for two reasons. Firstly she has the same name as me and secondly, the Spindler line of my family comes from that area of Suffolk and has been traced back so far to just after the period in which she lived so it is likely that she is an ancestor of mine.
Sarah Spindler.

FROM BRIDEE :

I would dearly love to Adopt Sarah Bright who was hung in 1645. I know she has been taken but if it's alright I would love to be the second Adoptee. I have been told I was a Witch in many of my previous lives, and Sarah Brights name came to me one night, I have a real infinity with her.
The pain and suffering they must have went through brings tears to my eyes. I feel this is a great way to remember the ones who have walked before us.

HELEN CALLES
FROM HELEN
I’d like to adopt her please.  I’m not too computer literate when it comes to designing websites but know someone who is!
I’d like to try and find out more about her, where she was a witch or not and write a brief epitaph to her if this is ok.
I’m of the craft and feel it is very important to keep the names of those who died alive and within the public eye.
Thank you
Bright Blessings

IN MEMORY OF
ANNE ALDERMAN
FROM INGRID

Hello,
Anne Alderman is a relative of mine on my mothers side. (apparently)
Part of her family came to America. My great uncle was named Alderman and settled in Savannah GA where there is a park named for him. He then moved to Florida where he was on the council to cede from the union.
I have a picture of him that used to hang in my Grandmothers' house in Tallahassee. It is amazing that I happened to be assigned the number 1645 as an e-mail address.  I do not believe in coincidence and I also know who was persecuted as a witch in those times. They were usually exceptional women who dared keep knowledge passed from generation to generation in healing, etc. Thanks for enriching my life a bit more.
Sincerely,
Ingrid Eikman Gipson

FROM  CYPRESS:

My name is Nicole Howlett, but I am commonly called Cypress. That is my soul name.
I want to 'adopt' a witch because I am Wiccan and my soul cries at what was done to these people. No matter whether they were witches or not, I feel as if they are my family. It pains me so to know what has happened to these people in the past.
The one I wish to adopt is Boram. If no one remembers this peron's true name (for there is a ? by it), then how can they be remebered properly. I already feel as if this person is a family member. It hurts to know how they were wronged.
Thank you for this. Seeing those names makes my soul weep inside, but I know now that someone cares.

KATHERINE HEWITT
FROM LORD PHOENIX:
Dear Ambermoon,
I was wondering if I could adopt Mary Trembles. I've always felt sorry for people who were executed because they believed in something different. I kinda know the feeling of being left out do to the religion you believe in. I'm a wiccan in a family of catholics and they don't approve of me being wiccan. But this is the religion I love and I'm proud to be a wiccan. So it would be nice if I could adopt Mary Trembles. Could I also adopt Katherine Hewitt
Thanks and Many Blessings
Lord Phoenix.

FROM LORD SHIEWASE:
Dear Ambermoon,
i would like to adopt a witch because the witch trials in this period were
terrible.... I don't mind which witch i adopt
because it's unfair for me to choose so if i could adopt can you choose for
me. I don't have my own site.
Blessed be, by moonlight, by sunlight.

FROM VALHALLA:
Even without a website I would be more than honoured to adopt a witch. I will proudly display my honoured one on my computer for myself and family to honour them. I can not choose one. I do not have the ability to pick only one of the many who suffered these horrible atrocities to mankind. I will leave that up to you. I just know myself that I have been ridiculed for my religion and suffered in many ways because of it. I do not care what people think, nor do I give a darn. I love my Goddess and She loves me. It is between the two of us, no-one else. Brightest Blessings to you.
