| Members of the Auxiliary Police force are appointed by the safety director and are under the direction of the Police Chief on a day-by-day basis. Auxiliary officers serve on a voluntary, unpaid basis and solely at the pleasure of the safety director. Auxiliary Officers shall perform assigned job duties only under the immediate direction of a police officer or higher ranked officer and required to obey the chain of command as set forth on the table of organization of the department. Auxiliary officers shall be required to work the work shift and work assignment as designated by the Police Chief. |
