I am an aspiring musician with a number of musical interests. The purpose of this page is to detail the musical happenings in my life; what projects I am working on or with, live performances, recording sessions, press releases, interviews, etc. Some of this same information can be found in a headline format on the News page, but the full details will be found here.
There currently are three main areas I am focusing on in my music career:
*** PARACELSUS This is a side project made up of members of other Metro Atlanta-area progressive rock bands (and also friends of mine). The pet project of my good friend Jeff Blanks, PARACELSUS endeavours to create progressive rock that would appeal to the "goth" scene. Live improvisation is also a large segment of our live performances. All members of the band are capable singers and multi-instrumentalists, adding considerable depth to the music. If I were asked to describe PARACELSUS to someone, I would answer that we are a cross between King Crimson and The Cure for lack of a better description. Visit the PARACELSUS website here.
*** Band Project I am still looking for a rock-n-roll band situation, either existing or brand-new/just forming up to contribute to. I would like to be able to contribute in a band setting the sum of my musical influences, both lyrically and instrumentally. Ideally, this would be a band I would also be fronting as the lead vocalist, but still part of the group as a whole and not just me with a backing band. A progressive rock-influenced style would be the best vehicle for me.
*** Solo Project I am also slowly working on a parallel solo career. My singing voice and lyrics would be my primary focus here, the songwriting based on acoustic instruments (guitar and piano) and the vocal melody so that they can be played in a solo environment, but can also be arranged for a full band to perform. The musical style would be much more diverse than the band project, incorporating more folk, jazz, blues and even classical influences into the rock format more directly. The opportunity for a full band arrangement with a wide variety of instrument combinations is enormous! |
