Drew Carey slipped his cell phone back into his pocket, and faked a smile. "What is it, Drew?" a woman asked, sipping her beer. He laughed nervously. "Oh nothing" A rather tall man frowned and motioned towards the door. "Look what just walked in" The occupants at the table glanced towards the door. A woman, wearing very brightly colored clothing, followed closely by a taller man, walked through the doors of the
Warsaw the neighborhood bar.  The taller man caught sight of Drew and walked over to the table cheerfully. "Hey, baby bro. Did ya hear that N.." Drew silenced his older brother with a wave of his hand. "Can it, Steve. Yes I heard, and I don't see why you should be too thrilled" Steve pulled a chair up and sat down. "Just because she's stronger than you.. more talented than you… has a better job than.."
"Ok, shut up, already! I know this already. Kate, what do you think?" The woman sipping beer perked up. "No comment"
"What do you mean, no comment!? Lewis, buddy…" The stilted man in the corner focused his gaze upon Drew. "Same as Kate. Plus, I've never met her, and it's between the Carey siblings. I've learned well not to interfere. Enough said" Oswald and Kate nodded in agreement. Drew fumed silently and looked at his watch. An annoying voice called from the bar. "Looks like we're having bacon tonight, Steve! The pig's roasting!" The brightly clothed woman walked next to Drew. "Now, Mimi. Let him be" Steve rose from his seat. "Naomi's coming, and Drew doesn't take too kindly to her" Mimi smiled. "Perfect" She purred. "If she's anything like you, Pig (referring to Drew) this Big Bad Wolf's gonna blow some houses down" Steve and Mimi left. "Well, Wick needs me to work all day tomorrow, so I won't be here. Working on a Saturday.." He mumbled and fled the tavern. Kate excused herself from the group, saying that she too, had to work tomorrow, and took the same path as Drew. "Well, buddy, it's almost 11, I'm turnin' in" Oswald turned and ran upstairs (his and Lewis' apartment were
above the Warsaw) Lewis sighed and stared into his empty mug. He stood up and walked to the bar to refill it. Instead of going back to the empty table, Lewis sat at the bar. He looked next to him, where another woman sat, drowning her sorrows into a diet coke. She sighed heavily, her jade green eyes focusing on her drink, then the man next to her. She brushed a few strands of auburn hair behind her ear. Lewis smiled. "Hi, my names Lewis" He extended his hand. The woman smiled faintly and grabbed Lewis' hand, shaking it slightly. "Hi, I'm Naomi"
"Pretty name for a pretty lady" Lewis kissed the top of her hand lightly. Naomi blushed and brought her hand back to her lap quickly. "You're too kind" She sipped her drink. "It should be a crime for someone as beautiful as you to frown. Put's a damper on the whole room" Naomi blushed again. The two started talking. Themselves, friends, and anything they could start a conversation on. "You know" Lewis began. "The food here's not the best.." Ignoring the rants from the bartender, he continued. "But I know a great place on fifth and main, if you want to get a bite to eat" Naomi's smile returned. "Sure" Lewis and Naomi walked out of the tavern and to Lewis' car. (who knew?) They got to the restaurant in about 10 minutes.
I never knew you could drive on the sidewalk in Cleveland. Naomi thought to herself as she and Lewis were seated. The waitress brought them a few glasses of water. Wow. She's beautiful. Naomi thought, but discarded it quickly as she noticed that Lewis almost seemed to ignore her. "So, why are you in Cleveland?"
"Well, I'm on vacation from Hollywood, and I'm supposed to meet my brother at the Warsaw, but he didn't show. And because of that, I have no where to stay" She looked into the Diet Pepsi that the waitress had recently brought.
I could let her stay with me… wait a minute. Why can't I stop looking at her? Lewis, with a quick shake of his head, regained his senses. "Well… you could stay with me, if you really wanted to" He looked at his surroundings.  Naomi blinked. Did he just say I could stay at his place? Why can't I stop looking at him? "Uh… if it's alright with you" Lewis turned back to her, smiled, and nodded. Naomi smiled back as the same waitress placed their orders on the table. "So, tell me a lil bit more about yourslef" He looked at her. Naomi told Lewis about where she came from, her hobbies and things like that. "So, what about you?" He told everything he could think of. From recovered memories to chasing monkeys at DrugCo. Before he could say anymore, Lewis stopped for a second. Why am I telling her this? I've never told anyone I'd just met that much. "Anything wrong?" Naomi placed her hand on top of his. "Nothing, just thinking about something" Lewis looked up. Their eyes met. "You look a bit jet-lagged. Let's get out of here" He payed the bill and escorted Naomi back to his car. By twelve-thirty they were at Lewis' apartment, which was unusually clean. Naomi sat on the couch, and sighed heavily. "Would you like a drink?" He asked from the kitchen. "Yes, water please" When Lewis returned with the glass, he noticed that Naomi had silently dozed off. He sat the glass down and chuckled softly. Lewis gently picked her up and set her on his bed. He then draped the covers over her and whispered good night. "Well, I guess I'll have to sleep on the couch" Lewis spent a few minutes trying to find a comfortable position on the piece of furniture. Unsucessful, he sighed and waited until he fell asleep.

Naomi yawned and closed her eyes against the bright morning sunlight that entered the room. She smiled, stretched, and walked switfly to the kitchen, lured by the smell of breakfast. "Mornin'" Lewis said, setting a plate of eggs on the table. "Mmmm… I'll add cooking to your list of good qualities"
"What's already on there?" He sat down next to Naomi. "Well.. you're intelligent, witty, funny, caring, and generous…. and the list goes on…" He laughed. "I don't see how you find that funny"
"Sorry.. just no one's ever said that about me" Naomi looked at him. "Well.. it's true. What about.." She motioned towards Oswald's room. "He's a heavy sleeper, and doesn't wake up 'til 2 on Saturdays" The phone rang it's familiar, annoying sound. Lewis picked it up. "Hello?" His face fell. "But it's Saturday!" He hung up the phone and scowled. "Sigh. I have to go to work. On a Saturday" Naomi helped clean up breakfast. Lewis leaned on the counter for a second and thought. "Come on" She looked up at him. "Huh?"
"We're going to DrugCo, I suppose" Naomi nodded. "Gimme a sec" She went into Lewis' room, where her bag was. She came out. "Ok, I'm ready" Lewis opened the door and left, followed closely by Naomi.

"I thought you only worked the night shift, when no one else is there" She asked, as they drove to DrugCo. "No one's there now, so they needed me" Lewis frowned. "As if I don't work enough" Naomi took his free hand. "Well, atleast you won't be alone this time" He smiled at her. Lewis parked the car. "For reasons, I have to park the car here and walk the rest of the way" He got out, went around the back of the car and opened Naomi's door. "Thankyou" She hopped out. "I'm glad I wore my tennis shoes"

They crossed the street. There was a huge mob infront of Winfred Louder. "Wonder what's goin' on" Lewis said. The crowd bustled and every so often shifted and got bigger. Naomi turned around to admire the city landscape. Drew ran down the street hurridly, to make it to work on time. "Oh God, a crowd on all days" He shoved through many people. "If this crowd gets any bigger, they're going to be disrupting traffic!" Lewis grabbed for Naomi's hand. She turned. "Lewis look.." Naomi screamed as she was knocked off her feet into the road, in the way of uncoming traffic. "Naomi!" She groaned and turned to get up. A '95 Toyota sped towards her. The driver, apparently late for work aswell. Naomi froze, eyes wide with terror. Lewis dashed into the street, fueled by pure adreneline. He scooped up Naomi and ran back to the sidewalk. "Oh my God, are you ok?!" He looked at the girl in his arms. Her eyes still wide, her breathing eratic. She stared at the street, then back to Lewis. Naomi collapsed against Lewis' shoulder. He turned sharply around. "Drew!" As Drew turned. "Lewis? What the he-" After putting Naomi into a fireman's carry, he slugged Drew. "He's got one hell of a right hook…" He mumbled as he fell to the ground.

Lewis continued to carry Naomi until he reached DrugCo. After entering his conformation code, he laid her on the couch in the break room. "You just stay here" Lewis said quietly. He exited the room and began his work. He made his way back to the break room, where Naomi was still unconscious. "I swear… the next time I see Drew…" He mumbled. Lewis sighed, ashamed of himself, and plopped down on the couch. "Got any aspirin?" He heard from beside him. "Naomi? I thought you were out" She smiled, with her eyes still closed. "Like a light. S'just that my head kinda hurts"
"You know what's almost as good as aspirin?" She sat up. "What?" Lewis leaned over and kissed her. After they separated, Naomi sat back and blinked. "Almost as good? More like a hell of a lot better!" They walked out of DrugCo together, hand in hand, to begin their new relationship.
