Attempts to organize a social committee have not yet succeeded. Past events have included a Corn Roast and a Regatta.

:
Cottage Life T.V. highlighted a light-hearted cultural event in which cottagers presented a different Shakesperean play each year in an outdoor setting. Costumes and props were rudimentary . . . rehearsals? . . . almost none. Prizes were donated, and the money collected was donated to charity.

I was chatting with Sue Baird and she had the great idea of social gathering with a pajama party theme. I wondered if this could be the revival of the regatta !?! Perhaps, just perhaps, such enthusiasm can be harnessed into organizing a social event next summer on one of the islands! Great idea Sue!

The Annual General Meeting (involving two Sundays in 2002) offered an opportunity to meet fellow cottagers and to discuss issues of mutual concern.

Greater numbers of sailing craft and kayaks have appeared on the lake. Maybe it's time for a contest of skill and endurance.
