Disclaimer | The author warns the readers who are not fluent in politics of gravity (who didn't read the article "Einsteinian Gravity for Poets and Science Teachers") that not all things desribed in this article are agreed upon by the official science however in every such case the author explains why and why in his humble opinion the correspoonding part of official science is big bunk). |
The universe was there probably forever but only around 1929
people started to realize what it actually is.
It turned out that it is actually a lot of stars (probably
about 1022 of them) groupped in about
1011 so called
galaxies.
"Galaxies" shouldn't be confused with "constelations" that
are only groups of stars, all of them from our own Galaxy,
that look to us as being close to each other "in the sky"
(a two dimensional thing, which we see over our heads, and
which sholdn't be confused with the celing) which is not
the same as in the space (a three dimensional things,
because it has also "depth").
In reality the stars of one constelation might be even on
different ends of our galaxy and we would see them close
to each other because they just might happen to be close
to our line of sight.
Those galaxies don't seem to form any further groups and so
they can be considered indiviually as basic objects of the
universe that can be split into hot stars and cold
junk like planets, moons, planetoids (just big rocks) comets
and all other thing not accounted for in this list, circling
around those stars and planets.
Sometimes two stars are circling one another creating so
called binary systems
with certain interesting features as well.
Despite the knowledge of the universe is completely useless
for any practical purpose it is also extremely interesting.
It is like art that has no practical applications neither
but like the universe is also extremely interesting to
those who think.
It turns out that the universe, happens to be also extremely
interesting to those who don't think that much.
It might be the reason why this author get interested in it
so much that he neglected his developement as a visual artist
and started thinking (despite almost no educational background
in this area) why almost all galaxies look as if they were
getting farther away from each other.
It seemed to be rather impossible for various reasons, and
therefore suggested strongly that it might be some kind of
illusion, similarly as it looked to many scientists of their
time that sun is circling the earth.
It turned out that it is not the sun circling the earth
but it is an illusion caused by the misinterpretation of
observational data.
Such things happen a lot in any area of human endeavor
so also in science and so the data by which galaxies were
judged as moving away might have been misinterpreted as well.
Since there is no compeling reason why the data indicating
that galaxies are moving away form each other couldn't be
misinterpreted it can be assumed without further proof that
it was and we may treat the universe as collection of galaxies
that just go about their business not paying any attention
to their distances to other galaxies and therefore not moving
away from them.
We call such a universe stationary and may assume that our
universe is stationary not contradicting anything that is
known (as opposite to a lot of hypotheses that
various people have).
The first guy who analyzed properties of such a universe was
Einstein, and a stationary model that was a subject of his
studies is called "Einstein's Universe".
Presently here are many more people who insist that the
galaxies really move away form each other, and so don't
even want to think about "Einstein's Universe" and even less
talk about it.
So there are no scientific discussions about this subject, but
we don't need to worry about it.
Historically the majority were always wrong and it also happens
this time.
The author knows that since he found a simple
proof of it, but the proof can't
be communicated to the majority because they don't want to
talk about it, and so publishers of scientific journals don't
publish the papers that majority does not want to read being
afraid to lose readers.
So the fact the majority of astronomers is wrong won't be widely
known for a long time.
The situation is like in the Middle Ages when the majority
of astronomers thought that the sun is circling the earth once
a day, and those who knew that it is just a misinterpretation
of data were not allowed to explain why.
Actually now is a better situation since (so far) the minority
is not burned on stakes, as it was practiced during the Middle
Ages.
