Explore a variety of art techniques and materials. We will work with drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed media and printmaking. This workshop will promote experimentation in ideas and materials. A great workshop to discover areas of interest and develop creativity in ideas for artwork.
This workshop includes a choice of the book: Starting Painting OR Art Ideas
Learn or further develop basic drawing and/or painting skills. Some of the ideas may include: composition, form, value, proportion, texture, space, color mixing, repetition, etc. using graphite, charcoal, colored pencil, pen & ink, watercolor, acrylic and mixed-media. The focus of this workshop is to encourage creativity, idea development and confidence. Students can choose to work more with drawing, painting or a an even balance. We will explore avariety of subject matter depending on student interest: faces, figures, animals, still life, landscape, citiyscape.
This workshop includes a choice of the book: I Can Draw Animals, What Shall I Paint?, What Shall I Draw? OR Drawing
Learn or further develop 3-dimensional skills. We will work with form, space, texture, etc. using clay, and other 3-D materials. Emphasis will be on creativity, confidence and fun! We will explore a variety of subject matter depending on student interest: figures, animals, abstract, non-objective, or functional.
