The entry fee for each horse is $20.00 plus $5.00 per class. Ribbons 1st through 6th will be awarded for individual events. (Rosettes for performance classes and Flats for games).


Ages are as of January 1/2008


Adult – 19 and up

Junior A – 15 through 18

Junior B – 12 through 14

Junior C - 11 and under (walk, jog only)


(The show committee has the right to combine and or cancel any classes due to limited registration.)


It is mandatory that all participants under 19 wear helmets while competing and also in the warm up area. Helmets are optional for Adult participants. The same horse may be used in different age categories. Proper western attire is required see http://www.equestrian.ca if you have any questions about what is or is not permitted for you or your horse please contact any member of the board of the WNEC. Questions may also be directed to the WNEC website at http://www.oocities.org/wneclub and will be answered by the show committee.


Adults wearing helmets will be excused from wearing western hats. Juniors may enter Adult classes however, if they enter Adult classes, they will not be permitted to enter other Junior classes. Junior C are walk, jog only in all classes.


All participants must have signed the consent form in order to compete. There will be forms at the registration office, however, parent’s signature is required if 16 and under.


This is a full day event which starts 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 16, 2008 at the Western Agriculture Centre, in Pynn’s Brook. Show Events will start at 9:00 a.m. Gymkhana events will start at 1:00 p.m.


Limited overnight stabling is available by calling Silverwood Stables, Steady Brook, Ph: 639-1344 or 634-5715 or contacting Dianne Kennedy at 634-5412. Please bring horses’ feed, hay, water bucket and any other special needs.

Any person who has stabling available in the Humber Valley area, please contact Dianne Kennedy.


Due to safety reasons, horses are not to be left unattended at any time while on the show grounds. Any person leaving their horses unattended will be asked to remove their horse(s) from the show site. Horses are to be kept at a walk outside the warm up ring and show ring.


Water will be available on site. Bring your own bucket, hay, feed and any other special needs.




Riders are required to pick up their numbers by 8:45 a.m. for the Show Events and by 12:45 noon for the Fun Events. These numbers must be worn, visibly, by the competitor at all times and will act as a pass to the paddock and show areas. Each Rider will be issued one pass per horse in addition to their number. Junior riders will be issued one additional pass.


Food vendors will be located on or near the show grounds. Small children must be under immediate adult supervision. Dogs will not be permitted on the show grounds. Stallions are not permitted on the show grounds.


NOTE: It is strongly advised that all horses be vaccinated before entering the show.


The Show committee reserves the right to cancel or combine any classes due to limited registration or time.
