The vision of the Western Newfoundland Equestrian Club (WNEC) is to unite west coast Newfoundlanders who have a passion for horses, as well as organizing, promoting and expanding the equestrian community.

This includes, but is not limited to, increasing the knowledge base of our members, organizing and assisting with equine related events and activities, encouraging the pursuit of proper horsemanship in both english and western disciplines, as well as the development of a show facility accessible to all members.

Currently, the only requirement for membership is to join the Newfoundland Equestrian Association (NEA). More information about the NEA can be found on their website http://www.horsenewfoundland.com. The NEA is the governing body of equestrian sport in Newfoundland, with many benefits of their own. The NEA has expressed interest in sparking more equine involvement in western Newfoundland and so the WNEC has affiliated with them in hopes of working together toward common goals.
