A clipping from the Amador Dispatch. Sent to me by Barbara McMahon
Barbara went to the county offices  and copied the information from the
death certificate for Henry Albert Roberts:

Place of  Death, Amador County near Forest Home.
(This is now highway 16 between Plymouth and Sacramento.  We are a rural
county and it's a 2 lane country highway these days. I imagine it was a
main road between Plymouth and other towns in our county and Sacramento in the
1940's.  Even today there is a lot of open land, sloping hills, wildlife and ranch land. )

Sorry it didn't list his parents.

I have two obituaries, one from the Amador Dispatch, one from the Amador
Ledger, they are pretty much the same.  I'm sending them as an
attachment.  I hope you can read them.  If not, let me know and I'll mail
the photo copies to you.  As you can see, the quality is not the best.

The clearer one is from the Dispatch, May 3, 1940.  The one that's dark and
hard to read is from the Ledger, May 2, 1940.  Both were front page
articles.  There were no other obituary notices in our papers.  The
Stockton Record might have a better obit since he apparently lived in Stockton.
