Robbins/Roberts
Sara Robbins is another mystery to us.
She was born: Sara Robbins: b. 01 JAN 1861  Madelia, Minnesota
Died: 27 APR 1937  Sequim, Washington
Sara married a Mr. ___ Roberts.
They had two children:
1.) Alfred (or Albert) Henry Roberts b. Dec. 31,
1880 in California (maybe Stocton, CA).
2.) Sara had another son (name unknown) who died
at the tender age of 11 years old, in a tree that was being cut down
for logs to make a log cabin for the family.
In later years Sara is remarried to a Chandler.
Not sure if her husband passed away or if
there was a divorce. But Sara and her son were very close.

Alfred (or Albert) Henry Roberts was married twice
and had four children (two of which are still living). From his first marriage he had a son Alfred Henry Roberts Jr b. abt. 1922
and a young daughter who died tragicaly in an auto accident.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

His second marriage was to Elsie Mable Crosby (Uhrich).
She was divorced and alone with three teenage children.
(Ralph, Edward and Clara Uhrich).

Alfred Henry Roberts starts a new life and has two
more beautiful children with Elsie.
Roy Roberts b. 1924 died 1985? (had three children)
Etta May Roberts b. 1925 (living and has 11 children)

Henry Roberts (he dropped the Alfred) and Mrs. Elsie Roberts
had a little store and gas station in Sequim , Washington.
Sometimes they made chowder and sandwiches for the hungry
visitors as they stopped in from all over.
Sara died in April 1937 and Albert Henry Roberts (my grandfather) died in April of 1940. My mother was only 15 when she lost her father.
So much of his life is a mystery to us. She still searches for the brother, Alfred Henry Jr., that she never knew. He was last known living in San Francisco, California. Elsie Mable Roberts remarried a Hal Miller and they built a little house in Sacramento, California (about 1945). Elsie lived there with a very good friend Anna Lambert after Mr. Miller passed away (about 1952). She lived in this cute little house with lemons trees and orange trees and even a palm tree. This house had many menories for our family. Grandma Elsie Miller wrote a book of peoms for us, one being about this little house and the wonderful neighbors and friends that she had made in it. She passed away in 1967.
