She was the daughter of [William] Henry Anderson and Samantha Thacker. ( Nettie's death cert. shows her father as William Anderson and her mother as Samantha Belle Thacker). Samantha was the daughter of Isaac Holmes Thacker. I found Laura Buckmaster's page on ancestry.com that shows his name to be Henry as well as the 1880 census. I feel this is the same person for two reason, his wife's name of Samantha and Nettie's full name of Henrietta. |

| * After reviewing the facts and researching other documented web pages regarding our THACKER family, I have come to the conclusion that our family loved little "nick names" and quite often used middle names. One fact was my grandmother: Beatrice "Blanche" Thacker b. 16 FEB 1894 Most of the family never even knew that grandma "Blanche" had a first name of Beatrice. She and her sisters gave "EVERYONE" cute little nick names. Mine became "Wodi" (like whoa-dee). I believe Samantha "Belle" Thacker b. 1856 was actualy one and the same as: Isabelle "Belle" Thacker b. 1857 ?? I believe her middle name was Isabelle and she went by "Belle". After e-mails from her gr. grandson and family. Fact 1: Samantha's first name NOT being used in census Fact 2: I don't believe both daughter's would be "Belle". Fact 3: Grandmother and her sisters are listed by middle names in census records. Fact 4: Grandma's mom Sara Elizabeth (Bullock) Thacker was known to them as "Betty" (sometimes "Sally") |
