About the Author

Michael McGouirk, born in East Point, Georgia, now makes his home in North Macon, Georgia. He found a love for reading later in life when he was in the 9th grade. McGouirk would be noticed sleeping in his literature class, and never turned in assignments. When this was pointed out, he told his teacher that the material was boring and incapable of keeping his attention. The teacher stepped outside the curriculum and agreed to let McGouirk bring in and read whatever books he liked, provided that he turn in an essay on said book after completion. It was this very agreement that started McGouirk reading authors such as Kurt Vonnegut, H.P. Lovecraft, Stephen King, and Roderick Anscombe.
With a newfound love for literature, he then started to seek out more horror authors and reading as much as he could. This inspired him to write his own stories. After several were written and trashed, McGouirk eventually hit on the first version of "The Session", which is long lost. He had only had the first revision, which was only a quarter completed, and remembered what he could. Next, 3 years later, "From the Pen of Walter Jolly" came to life. Now, after 3 years of silence, the dark and depraved mind of Michael McGouirk, and his twisted alter-ego, Stick Dastardly, have come out of the shadows to begin a new assault of terror and pain.
With more stories in the works, McGouirk plans to compile a book of all of his shorts to be published and continue to spread more warped images to minds everywhere.
