Imbir'
(Rush
River Slash x Kismet
Fancy Fire)
...was foaled October 5,
2000 at Wolf Moon Curlies in Pine City MN. His name is pronounced
eem-BEEr and in Polish and Russian, it means "ginger". He is a Curly
minimal with curls inside his ears and shallow waves on his legs,
upper hips, sides, and neck. He's a chrome-laden chestnut sabino with
high stockings on his hind and right fore legs; his left fore is
accented by a white pastern and an irregularly shaped, disconnected
spot to the outside of and below his left knee. Imbir' face is
splashed with a wide, irregular blaze that encompasses his lower lip.
A small belly spot, several small groin spots, and lots of white
ticking add icing to the cake.
Imbir's dam is Kismet
Fancy Fire 299148 (a.k.a.
"Keira"), a shiny copper chestnut minimally expressed sabino Arabian
mare. She is also registered as #003 in the Sabino
Arabian Registry stud book.
Keira's sire was the illustrious Fire
Brand 29323 foaled on March
17, 1964, at Lasma Arabians--the first American born son of the great
*Bask. Besides being a champion himself and a sire
of champions, Fire Brand was a full brother to Fire Bolt and Fire
Wind. Their dam, the beautiful line bred *Raffles/Selby mare, Lakshmi 10961, was by
Rapture 3783 and out of Ragala 1091.
Keira's dam, Cinnamon N
Honey 214994, also a copper chestnut sabino, was sired by Tonga
Bay-Boy 96661, a son of National Top 10 Halter champion, Comar
Bay Brummel 56049
(Azraff 5596 x Rose of Mirage 9521). Her dam,
Hillcrest Imaraza 21255 was by the *Raffles son, Imaraff 3476, and out of the Kellogg
Ranch mare Kazadi 11951 (Zadir 8096 x Rabika 2333).
