Rush River Slash...
Rush River Slash [ACHA 00-00142, ABCR P-2188]
...was foaled on May 13, 1996, at Elmer Johnson's Rush River Curly Farm near Baldwin, Wisconsin. When we visited Elmer three weeks later and spied baby Slash, it was love at first sight! Three months later, Slash joined us here Wolf Moon Curlies near Pine City, Minnesota. He is our senior Curly stallion and sire of our two up and coming junior stallions,

and
Imbir'
.
Slash is a bright sorrel minimally expressed sabino with a wide blaze encompassing his underlip, four high white stockings, and extensive flank, barrel, and underbelly ticking. We've chosen to picture Slash in his summer coat as well as while wearing his winter woolies, so you may better appreciate his stellar conformation. Although we respect their views, we disagree with Curly breeders who believe there were enough good Curlies to close the Bashkir Curly stud book. Therefore we continue to breed for the best in conformation and disposition, outcrossing when necessary to achieve those goals. Thus although Slash is registered as a foundation-bloodline Bashkir Curly, we now register our Curlies with the
American Curly Horse Association
