Garlic

Studies at MD Anderson Cancer Institute in Houston, the Pennsylvania State University and CGLA support earlier evidence that certain ingredients in garlic block agents involved in the cancer of the breast, colon, esophagus and skin. The National Cancer Institute found in a study of 1,000 people that eating a lot of garlic is linked to a reduced risk of stomach cancer.

Garlic provides a storehouse of vitamins and minerals, but what excites researchers most is that "Allicin" present in large amounts in garlic stimulates the immune system of the body increasing immunity against diseases.
