MYTHOLOGY OR RELIGION

As I examine Greek and Roman Myths, as from the beginning,
I seek to prove my beliefs, or my hypothesis of creation. Not to disprove
science,  for I believe there is truth in all. And only by combining all
elements, science, religion, myths and common sense, can one hope
to find the truth. For if it is the truth, it will withstand the test of all.

Although Roman beliefs mixed with Greek myths, the Greeks where
first. Tracing Greek myths, to their origins seems to have started
historically with the works of Hesiod and Homer, around 8th century B.C.
The family tree of these Greek gods, was written by Hesiod , called
   Theogony.

This was the first recorded history, of Greek mythology after the
disappearance, of these so called gods. Before this time, these myths
were passed on, in stories by word of mouth. And like all stories,
they are likely to change a little, with each new story teller.

Hesiod, considered to be foremost authority, on these beliefs was only
interested in explaining their family tree. Or just didn't know much,
of the origins. The Olympians insisted their gods were not responsible
for creating earth, but third generation deities, on the earth.

I believe there is truth in this. The scriptures below are proof that
sons of GOD mixed with humans, as humans multiplied on the earth.

" And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face
of the earth, and daughters were born unto them," ( Gen.6.1)

" That the sons of GOD saw the daughters of men that they
were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose." ( Gen.6.2)

" When the sons of GOD came in unto the daughters of men, and
they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were
of old, men of renown." ( Gen.6.4)

I believe these men of renown, to be the Titians, and or the
giants referred to in mythology. And the sons of GOD to be the
interfering deities in mans affairs. And the reason GOD flooded
the earth, was to give back control of the earth to man. The reason
there was never any evidence, of these Titians is because they were
killed and imprisoned, deep within the earth, with the sons of GOD
before the flood of Noah .

Hesiod, did claim that before their god Zeus ruled them, that
Zeus's father Cronus, was the supreme God, and ruled a golden race
of humans. This golden race of mortals, lived free from all cares
and worries, eternally young. Hesiod was not clear, on what happened
to this golden race, but only that the earth covered it over.

I believe this golden age of man to be, from creation thru somewhere
before Noah's flood. A time when GOD provided openly to man. When
man lived, around nine hundred to a thousand years old, according to
the generations of Adam, in the Old Testament. And the earth did cover
    them, with Noah's flood.

The only claim that Hesiod made about creation, was that the
world evolved out of an enormous, shapeless darkness he called Chaos.
    ( meaning in greek " a yawning void" )

This is very similar to this scripture below.

"And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was
upon the face of the deep." ( Gen.1.2 )

Homer wrote two epic tales, the Illiad, and the Odyssey. Both paint
the same picture, a group of squabbling deities, interfering with human
affairs, to aid their favorites. He like most Olympians, believed that these
deities, of third generation, lived during the time, when humans were at
    their fourth and fifth generation.

The basic story told in mythology, is that gods fought against gods,
with the aid of Titians. That due to these wars, the humans of the
    golden age, were destroyed.

The story of a great flood, that leaves earth ready for repopulation
is a common myth world wide. It is no different in Greek mythology,
as the tale of Deucalion and Pyrrha. In this tale only Deucalion son of
the king of Pthia, and his wife Pyrrha, were warned of a great flood,
by torrential rain. In this story they were supplied with a boat, and
provided with food. The boat landed on a peak, on mount Parnassus.
But in this story rather than repopulating the old fashion way, they
threw stones over their shoulders. When the stones hit the ground,
they made humans. Deucalion's stones made men, and Pyrrha's stones
    made women.

Except for the stones over the shoulders, replenishing man on the
earth, this story is very familiar to the story of Noah and the ark.
Of the two stories of course, Noah's is the most reasonable, replenishing
    earth the old fashion way.

If anything, Greek mythology mostly confirms, the Holy Scriptures,
at least in the examples above. And what of science and mythology ?
Science must look at the evidence, left by not only Greek, but also
Roman empires. Greek and Roman philosophy is of high intelligents,
even by today’s standards. These people not only believed in their gods,
but built great monuments to them. This culture seems to have been
driven by artist, thinkers, and great builders. Who put their gods first
in all, that they created. Is this not the cream of the crop ? Artist,
thinkers, and great builders, the most intelligent of their people.
Is this not scientist, of their time.

The creativity of their designs, and the reverence of their art,
is second to none. Their temples reflect a larger, than man need, and
easy access from above. These intelligent scientist of their time had
rather appease their gods, than keep the rain off their heads. The only
thing that makes intelligent men, put their own needs in second place,
is fear. Intelligent men don't fear campfire stories of yesteryear.
Their fears had to be based on something tangible. If not something
they had seen, and feared, then on something their living relatives
had seen, or been told directly, from someone who had seen something.

After their gods and Titians, had left the earth, their faith would
decay, they would build no more temples.
At least  not with the drive, or fear they had before. As I said,
intelligent  men don't fear stories of yesteryear. By sixth century B.C.
their gods were under attack from within.

As time passed by, in the absence of their war raging gods, with
weapons in hand, about fifth century B.C. their creativity turned to
their gods of love and harvest. This lasted to about second century A.D.
Christianity was spreading across the empire. Christianity would declare
victory in 313 A.D. when emperor Constantine personally adopted the
Christian faith, and removed all civil restrictions on it's followers.
Although he tolerated the old ways, Christianity became the official
    religion of the state.

In the fourth century A.D. the new emperor Julian, restored the old
ways, but didn't last long. For he was killed within two years of taking
power. The emperor Theodosius in 392 A.D. banned worship of the
ancient gods, and temples were destroyed or converted to Christianity.

I believe the teachings of CHRIST, once again gave these people
something tangible, they could feel in their hearts, and understand in
their minds. Not just pieces of stone, from a world gone by, but purpose,
and hope for the future. Besides, their ancient gods ruled by fear, and
didn't appear, to even like man very much. While their Christian GOD
believed, in the good of man.

If Olympian believers were right, and their gods were here when the
golden age of man, was in their fourth and fifth generations. By using
ages provided by the generations of Adam, these Greek gods were here
only for the last 500 years before the great flood. Which means man,
had 1000 to 1100 years to multiply after their own kind, before any
interference from the sons of GOD.

Adam was 130 years old when he had his son Seth, and Seth lived
912 years. This is a total of 1042, so therefore Seth died before these
Greek gods took power. But Seth was the second generation from GOD
therefore closer in design, than those that followed. Also Seth lived nine
hundred and twelve years .  Is it only a coincidence, that the Egyptian
culture shows a progression from the (creator god) Atum to Geb (earth)
    to Seth (nephthys) ?

What I mean is, in their belief the creator made earth, ( Adam
was made from the earth) and the earth (Adam) gave birth to Seth.
Seth was also nephthy. In Greek and Roman myths, the word nymph
refers to, a girl, especially a beautiful one. Is this also a coincidence?
Or is this another way of saying, the daughters of Seth were fair?
This also points to the times I have given, and implies it was Seth’s
daughters who became fair, in the eyes of the sons of GOD.

Although Egyptian, Greek, and Roman myths varied greatly, and in
some cases, are completely alien to Christian beliefs, there are certain
truths, as I have said. Such as all believe gods mixed with humans,
at one short period of mans history. Most believe this mix failed,
due to the god's vanity. Many believe the result, was a world wide
flood, where righteous people were saved to replenish the earth.
Including Greece, China, India, Australia, and native America.
Which none of these countries at that time, followed Christianity.
Or had even seen a bible, but yet had these general beliefs.
There are remains in stone proving these people believed this way.

How can science, considered to be intelligent, ignore the opinions
and evidence of millions, who labored and sacrificed their own well being
for the sake of their beliefs world wide ? What overwhelming evidence
does science have, to disprove the legitimately of these beliefs ? None.
