ZIMBABWE DISCOVERY

With Harare, Great Zimbabwe,Bulawayo, Matopo National Park and Victoria Falls. 9 days / 8 nights

Day 1 : HARARE

Welcome upon arrival. City  tour including the National Art Gallery, famous  for its Shona art. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: HARARE/GREAT  ZIMBABWE

Depart for Masvingo to the remarkable Great Zimbabwe Ruins at lunch time.; Lunch then visit the archaelogical site. It contains an impressive array of drystone structures.; The city was probably          founded during the 12th century BC. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 3: GREAT  ZIMBABWE / BULAWAYO

Depart for Bulawayo, Zimbabwe's second largest city and former royal town of the Ndebele King. Lunch. Visit the country's main museum, the Natural History  Museum and the Railway Museum with its steam  locomotives dating from the return of the  century. Then, drive to Matopo . Dinner and  overnight at the hotel.

Day 4:BULAWAYO / MATOPO

After breakfast, drive to  Matopo National Park. Set in a sea of fascinating rock formations, the park contains many  historical sites Discover the Bushman  earth colour depictions and the burial site of    Cecil John Rhodes. You will also encounter  white rhinoceroses, leopards, giraffes, zebras,  baboons etc. Lunch, dinner and overnight at the  Lodge.

Day 5: MATOPO / GWAAI / HWANGE  NATIONAL PARK

Drive to Khame via Bulawayo and discover the magnificent Khame Ruins. Arrive Gwaai for lunch. Afternoon game drive in a 4  wheel drive vehicle in the Hwange National  Park.; This Park was created for the  protection of wildlife and covers more than  14,.600 square  km. Hwange is home to about 17,000  elephants. Dinner and overnight at the  Lodge.

Day 6: HWANGE  NATIONAL PARK

Early morning game drive in  a 4x4 vehicle. The park supports more than 100  species of mammals and over 400 species of birds. Breakfast at the Lodge. Morning at leisure or  around the swimming pool. Lunch, Sunset game  drive in the park. Dinner and overnight at the  Lodge.

Day 7: HWANGE/  VICTORIA FALLS

New game drive at  sunrise in a 4 x 4 vehicle.; Breakfast, then depart for victoria Falls. Afternoon at leisure.  Early evening, attend a traditional dance  perfomance. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 8: VICTORIA  FALLS

Discover the magnificent   Victoria Falls on foot. The Falls are 1.7km long and drop from more than 70m high.Late afternoon, enjoy a sunset cruise on the Zambezi  River. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 9: VICTORIA  FALLS OR EXTENSION TO CHOBE

Morning at  leisure or transfer to Chobe National Park . Depending on the plane schedule, transfer to the airport for your flight back home.
