Christopher's Workshop

Something special for the living room
The biggest project Chris has done so far took 3 months.  He built a base to complete a hutch/curio cabinet to hold all the pewter pieces, bubble fairies and crystal/porcelain animals in my collections.  We got the top at a Sears outlet store, but there was no base to support it.  Chris designed his own, then stained it to match the top.  He made the entire back one huge mirror that easily slid right into the grooves he cut into the frame for the back.
It turned out absolutely stunning and I'm finally able to enjoy the beautiful things Chris and my family have helped me collect.
Things for the bedroom
After a long break during which Chris recuperated from making the curio cabinet, we found that there were things we needed for the bedrooms.  The first thing we needed was a TV stand for our room.
The green, spare room also needed a lamp stand for more muted lighting, so Chris designed and built this corner table.  The legs start out square at the top, but end up round at the bottom.  Chris rounded them by hand, another long process.
The Front Porch
In 1996 we had the front porch added to our house, but the builder framed it and added the gable.  Chris did the floor boards, .....
ceiling, .....
stairs, trellis work, and ginger bread trim.
