     The Greek Orthodox Youth of America, or GOYA, is the ministry to teenagers of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America.  Since GOYA is ministry, the orientation and implementation of the program should reflect the Orthodox Christian lifestyle.  GOYA is a ministry to Junior High and High School age Greek Orthodox teenagers.  Age specifications are set at 12-18 years old.

    Most of our GOYA activities at ST. Catherine's center on the District GOYA.  Our district includes the parishes of St. Katherine-Naples, St. Andrew-Kendall, St. Sophia-Miami, Annunciation-N. Miami, St. George-Hollywood, St. Demetrios-Ft. Lauderdale, St. Mark-Boca Raton, and St. Nicholas-Ft. Pierce. Remember to bookmark us! Ctrl+D.

10.13.04 - I have finally updated the site, and I will be maintaning it at least once a week so check back as often as you can for handouts, event schedules, pictures, and anything else I decide to throw on the web. We will be having a volleyball practice this Saturday, 10.16.04 at 11:00am - 2:00pm at John Prince Park. Also, there is a GOYA dance this Saturday in Hollywood. The theme is the '80s, so come dressed like, you guessed it, the '80s. (You're so smart, you!)

10.05.03 - This upcoming Saturday, 10.11.03, will be this years basketball tournament, held down at St. Sophia's, Miami. Please fill out the insurance waivers I gave you and have them ready to turn in that morning. If you do not have the waivers anymore, I will be posting a downloadable form on the internet in the near future. Please check back soon for updates concerning small details. Also, this Sunday, 10.12.03, we will be pre-selling Car Wash tickets at church, so make sure you're there!

8.19.03 - I have updated the Events section with all our events for the 2003-2004 season. Also, very important, please check our Members section for a list of the amount due regarding your new GOYA team jerseys. This Friday, August 22nd, we will be having a lock-in at our church, starting at 6:00 PM EST. We will, once again, be asking Fr. Andrew questions regarding our religion and given the opportunity to attend confession. Entertainment will be provided, but bring anything you think will make this experience even better. We are kindly asking all parents who are willing to bring any perishables they can. If you have an idea, and wish to participate, please contact Nick P via Email: Suvlaki50@yahoo.com. 8.14.03 - First off, I hope everyone's first day of school went great! To those entering high school for the first time, congratulations. You have a long road ahead of you, but fortunately enough, it is a road full of great experiences, great memories, and loads of fun.  This Sunday, August 17th, we will be having a GOYA meeting upstairs. For those of you who will attend the church service, please proceed upstairs immediately after the service ends. For those of you not attending this Sunday's service, please meet upstairs at 11:30 AM. We will be discussing the events and dates regarding this years season, our mission projects assigned by the District GOYA, a possible lock-in at the church on August 22nd, and our new, upcoming team jerseys. Please make it a priority to attend this meeting, as we will be presenting a lot of vital information regarding this forthcoming GOYA season. Please reply to this email as to whether or not you will be able to make it to this meeting. With everyone's cooperation and commitment, we can make this season of GOYA the best ever! Thank you for your time, and I look forward to seeing all my fellow GOYANS again.
