Birth: 1 January 1728 in Shrewsbury, Worcester, Massachusetts Death: 16 April 1808 in Shrewsbury, Worcester, Massachusetts Job Cushing and his first wife Lucy were both admitted to the Church in Shrewsbury in 1753. He lived in Shrewsbury until 1798 when he removed to Three Rivers, Quebec, Canada, with his two sons, Job and Elmer, where he passed the rest of his life, returning to Shrewsbury to die. He is spoken of as an active and influential citizen. Military: Revolutionary Soldier. Was Captain of a company of Minutemen, Col. Arlemas Ward's regt. in 1775; 1st Major 6th Worcester Co. regt., 1776, and chosen Colonel of the 6th Worcester Co. regt, in 1777.
