Place in History - Johnny Saint is simply one of the greatest chain wrestlers of all-time and someone who if seen once is not easily forgotten. Though he was a lightweight and thus never the draw of Giant Haystacks, Big Daddy and others, he was a far better wrestler and had a very successful career that spanned five decades. Saint was pushed very hard in the late 70s and early 80s when TV wrestling hit a peak in England as a constant lightweight champion. His main rival, "Crybaby" Jim Breaks, was a strong heel and he worked well with Saint's popular goofy style. Until native television wrestling ended in the UK, Saint remained a familiar face and worked with many of the greatest wrestlers that Europe has ever seen. He remains popular amongst wrestlers who admire his unique, almost lucha-like, style and is always a favorite amongst anyone who has seen even a few matches of this one-of-a-kind worker.
