Sleight bells are replaced by honking horns
traffic's backed up at least a mile
Christmas shoppers jam the stores
I think I'll stay at home a while
I guess you'll just call me Scrooge
I'll have to deny that unless
you can give me one good reason
I should be out in that mess
I think I'll celebrate Christmas
without crowds, cars or a bus
I'll sit home and say a prayer
Happy Birthday, Jesus
I count the days until we are together
I know you do the same
I long for the morning I can roll over
And you hear me say you're mine.
I often wonder how I lived
Before I ever knew you
Basically, I was not alive
Until you said you loved me too
So, now as I watch the clock
The seconds ticking past
I know I have found a love
A love that will surely last.
