A keeper he thought
As he gazed at the ring
Just the right one
To make her heart sing
He presented it to her
On Valentines Day
Hoping that yes would
Be what she would say
He had it wrapped
In cupid printed paper
Oh how they looked
Dancing a caper
He silently stood
For her answer he waited
Hoping against hope
His breath abated
Yes she pronounced
Of course I will
Being your wife
Would give me a thrill
