Welcome to SmackDown! Let's go right to our first match of the night!

Kane
Vs
The Rock

The winner of this match will receive a World Title shot next week. The match starts off with very little posing as both men go at each other. They start to brawl, but Kane can't keep up with The Rock's speed. Finally The Rock starts using some wrestling moves (single crab, falling back drop, ect) and it looks like Kane is in trouble. A few times Rock goes for an armbar when Kane is on the ground, but he is always able to reach the ropes. Kane keeps coming back, and gets a few moves in on the Rock. Shoulder breaker, choke hold, rib breaker... Kane starts running at the rock for a Running DDT, but The Rock reverses it into a Power Slam!! Kane is in trouble here... out comes Triple H again!! Triple H and Kane start double teaming The Rock. Double Suplex... Spike Pildedriver... Kane and Triple H hit each other a few times by "accident". Then finally after a Diving Lariat from the Top Rope from Kane, hits Triple H.. Hunter finally leaves the ring. Kane then hits a Tilt-a-Whirl Slam on The Rock, and gives the sign for the Tombstone Piledriver!! He picks up The Rock... and drives him on his head!! 1.. 2.. 3!! The former champion will get his re-match for the title!!

Linda McMahon
Women's Champion
Vs
Lita

Linda is all over Lita at the beginning of this match. After reversing a few moves, Linda gives the sign that she is going to finish off Lita. She grabs her from behind, and spins it into an arm bar!! Lita is able to reach the ropes, but this seems to have gotten her mad, because she attacks Linda with a barrage of aerial moves, and goes for the pin fall with a spinning hurricanrada pin!1 1 ..2.. kickout!! Linda is in trouble for the first time since winning the title. Lita doesn't let up and keeps McMahon down with standing moonsaults, and head pounds. Lita then gets a spinning head scissors in, but it is reversed by Linda McMahon. Linda starts to use some kicks and slaps on Lita... when the former champion, Stephanie McMahon, comes running out. Linda and Stephanie slap each other for a little while, when finally Steph is thrown out of the ring. Linda turns around and is met with a Lita spinning wheel kick. Lita then climbs the top rope... guillotine leg drop!!! Lita doesn't go for the pin... she picks up Linda... Twist of Fate!! 1.. 2.. 3!!

Scott Hall & Kevin Nash
Vs
The Impact Players
Justin Credible & Lance Storm

Match starts off with Justin Credible and Scott Hall in the ring. It's pretty tight between the two wrestlers, as the biggest move they can each pull off in the first few minutes of the match is a bodyslam. Then Hall catches Credible coming off the ropes in a samoan drop. Both wrestlers tag out, and Nash gets Storm in a rib breaker right away. Kevin tries to use power moves while Storm tries to rely on his quickness. Pretty even untill Storm gets in a spinning head scissors on Kevin. Nash then tags in Hall again. Lance is able to reverse a few attempted grapples by Hall, and Storm tags in Justin. Storm and Credible are able to pull off a double suplex before Storm leaves the ring. Hall then reverses a punch by Credible and is able to tag Kevin Nash back in the ring. Kevin is able to easily over-power Credible with clotheslines and power slams. Justin then tags in Lance again. Storm starts off by trying to keep his distance but Nash nails him with a huge clothesline, and then gives the sign for the Jackknife Powerbomb!! He picks up Storm... Powerbomb!! 1.. 2.. kickout!! Kevin Nash tags in Scott Hall. Hall gets Lance in a roll up... 1.. 2.. kickout!! Lance is able to tag in Justin. Justin runs right for Hall, but Scott catches him in a samoan drop. Hall then tags in Nash again. Kevin gives Justin two falling back drops in a row, and then drops him neck first on the top rope. Justin is in trouble here. Justin reverses a grapple and he is able to tag in Lance Storm. Scott Hall comes running in the ring and nails Lance with a clothesline from behind. Nash then gives the sign for the Jackknife Powerbomb again. Instead though, he picks up Lance and gets him in a Walking Side Slam. He then pulls Storm towards the middle  of the ring for the pin. 1.. 2.. kickout again!! Kevin Nash then tags in Scott Hall. Storm reverses 3 grapples in a rowm and then gives Scott a piledriver!! He picks up Hall... pendulum back breaker... spinning head scissors... reverse DDT!! He then tags in Justin Credible, but Hall is able to tag in Kevin Nash. Nash gets him in a chokelift and it looks like Credible is in trouble again. Nash then goes for a big boot... but Justin catches it and punches Nash in the groin!! He then tags in Lance Storm and Nash tags in Scott Hall. Lance is able to get Hall in a snap suplex.. .he picks him up and another snap suplex. Then Storm gets Hall in a tombstone piledriver!! Scott manages to tag in Nash again. Nash grabs Lance and drops him neck first on the top rope. Nash runs after Storm... and Lance catches him in a sleeper hold!! Scott Hall comes running in, and he is followed by Justin. Scott is able to break up the hold, and then Kevin sends Justin flying ouside the ring. The Outsiders pick up Lance Storm... Double Powerbomb!! Nash goes for the cover: 1.. 2.. 3!!

Intercontinental Champion
Vs
Rob Van Dam

As soon as the bell rings, Kanyon rushes and nails RVD with a spinning clothesline. Rob then reverses a grapple in a heel kick in the back of Kanyon's head. He then nails Chris with a drop kick... spinning heel kick... falling back drop!! Kanyon is in trouble!! Kanyon then reverses a kick and hits RVD right in the groin. He picks up Rob and goes for a Fireman's Carry to Pancake, but Rob falls beind Kanyon and gets him in a falling back drop! Rob then runs at Kanyon, but Chris reverses it in a tilt-a-whirl back breaker!. Kanyon picks up RVD, but Rob hits his hands away and delivers a drop kick!! He then gives the sign that he is going to finish him off... Van Daminator Kick!! He goes for the cover... but Kanyon is able to reach the ropes. Kanyon then hits another low blow. Van Dam gets up... nails Kanyon with another drop kick. Here comes Chris Jericho, RVD's tag team partner. What the hell? Y2J grabs RVD and gives him the Jericho Double Powerbomb!! He is now double teaming RVD with Kanyon. Spicke Pildriver!! Kanyon kicks RVD right in the head... Rob is busted open!! Rob is trying to put up a fight, but he can't keep up against two men. RVD finally gets Y2J out of the ring... but it might be too late. Kanyon gets Rob in a Fireman's Carry to Pancake.  He then goes for a back drop suplex, but Rob lands on his feet behind Kanyon!! RVD gets a running start and catches Chris in a bulldog!! Kanyon gets up, and he nails RVD with another low blow and throw him out of the ring... here comes Edge!! Edge nails Kanyon with a spear!! RVD and Jericho are going at it again!! RVD nails Y2J with a spinning heel kick and Jericho goes flying over the top rope. Edge and RVD give Kayon a spike piledriver!! Jericho is back in the ring. Edge grabs Jericho... Downward Spiral!! He turns around and drop kicks Kanyon!! Edge then leaves the ring, with Jericho behind him. RVD then nails Kanyon with another spinning heel kick. He gives the sign... climbs the top rope... 5 Star Frog Splash!! 1... 2.. 3!! We have a new IC Champion... but what will happen to the Tag Team Titles?!?

Sting

Both men go right after each other as soon as the bell rings. Sting scores the first big move after hitting a huge running boot to the face of HBK. Michaels comes back though with an irish whip and a back drop. Incredibly fast paced match, and the action keeps going back and forth.  Michaels seems to have the advantage again, after reversing another irish whip and catching Sting coming off the ropes with another back drop. He then gets Sting with a sleeper hold!! Sting reaches the ropes and HBK nails him with a jab. Sting is down... HBK climbs the ropes... flying body splash off the top rope!! Shawn gives the sign that it is over.... Rolling Crutch Pin!! 1.. 2.. kickout!! Sting nails Shawn with a dropkick. Then a suplex... Sting then reverses a grapple and gets HBK in a belly to back suplex. Shawn is the one in trouble now. Another drop kick sends Shawn on the apron. Sting grabs him and sends him face first into the ring post!! HBK is now on the arena floor... and Sting is climbing to the top rope!! He jumps off with a flying body splash to the arena floor!! Michaels gets his knees up at the last  minute!! Shawn picks up Sting and gives him a piledriver on the arena floor! Both men are back in the ring. Shawn gives Sting another piledriver... then he climbs to the rop turnbuckle again!! He jumps off and nails Sting with another flying body splash from the top rope! Sting slowly gets up... Michaels goes for a grapple... Sting knocks his hands away and hits a drop kick!! HBK is sent to the ring apron again!! Sting gets a running start and kicks HBK right in the face and sends him flying into the ring barricade!! Shawn gets back in the ring by the 7 count. Sting sends him in the ropes... and catches him coming off in a military press slam!! He picks up Michaels... HBK hits his hands away and sends Sting to the mat with a jab... picks him up.. another jab... picks him up again... another jab. Sting gets up... They start brawling, but Sting goes down to yet another jab. Shawn goes back to the top rope... anther flying body splash!! Then... out comes Triple H again!! It looks like he is after Shawn... but he keeps hitting Sting by "accident". Shawn then gives the sign for Sweet Chin Music... and then finally Triple H hits him.. but Shawn gives him a quick jab... and then hits Sweet Chin Music on Hunter!! Sting gets up.. but he is hit with a jab too that sends him down... Shawn then climbs the ropes again... flying splash... but Sting gets his knees up!! Sting goes to the corner and hits a slingshot splash while Michaels is still down. Sting picks up Michaels... DDT!! Then... out comes.... Hollywood Hogan!! He goes right after Sting.... Sting is in trouble. Hogan hits him with his Special Power Clothesline!! In the meantime Triple H is back in the ring and going after Shawn Michaels. Shawn throws HHH out of the ring, and then double teams Sting with Hogan. Sting is able to reverse a Hogan piledriver and then throws Hollywood out of the ring. HBK is on the top rope... and jumps off... he misses Sting!! Sting climbs the top rope.. and hits a flying knee drop!! Picks up Shawn... another DDT!! He then gives the sign that he is going to finish him off!! He picks up HBK... Scorpion Death Drop!! 1.. 2..kickout!! They start brawling again... and Sting goes down to another jab... Shawn climbs the top rope AGAIN!! Another flying body splash!! He picks up Sting... Piledriver!! Shawn is giving the sign for Sweet Chin Music... he picks up Sting... He nails it!!! 1.. 2.. 3!!!
