The Path of the Feather, By Michael Samuels, M.D. and Mary Rockwood Lane, PH.D, 2000. A handbook and kit formaking medicinewheels and calling in the spirit animals. Pretty thorough. Includes invocations and other useful info. Also explains history and meaning of this often misunderstood tool of divination. Subjects: New Age, Mythology, Medicine Wheel, Native Studies. email Book of Shadows, By Lady Sheba. 2001. The first Book of Shadows ever published in the US. Includes many Gardinerian rituals and esoteric laws used in traditional Wiccan covens. No frou-frou here: it's raw with little explanation. Definately not a beginner book. Mostly interesting for an academic read. Subjects: Mind, Body, Spirit, Wicca, Magick. email The Circle Within, By Dianne Sylvan. 2003. Tips, advice and ideas on how to live your Wiccan spirituality every day, not just on full moons and sabbats. Moves beyond the basics to help you put meaningful personal truths in this religion. A super useful book, when you're ready to read it. Subjects: New Age, Wicca, Spirituality. email The Real Witches Coven, By Kate West. 2003. A difinitive guide to forming your own wiccan group. Tells one how to be an effective coven leader, selecting/finding the right members, organize rites and rituals, work powerful and effective magic. Also tells you how you can be an effective covener. The book looks cheesy and pop-culture ish, but it's a great resource. I would recommend any book by her because she knows her stuff and explains it a little differently than others. Imported from England. Subjects: Leadership, Wicca, Covenhood. email The Magician's Companion, By Bill Whitcomb. 2001. A practical guide to magical and religious symbolism, both Eastern and Western symbolism. Make your own course of study. Lots of magickal alphabets.
