Hoobastank emerged on the music scean in 1998. They released thier first album "They Don't Make Basketball Shorts Like They Used Too." The album has no videos off it, and has an intrestng tale behind it. The band put some songs into radio rotation and were really big. Soon enough all the albums made were sold out completly. Not even a band member owns one. Three years later Hoobastank debuted thier first video on MTV "Crawling In the Dark." The video was highly requested and Hoobastank released thier second album "Hoobastank." By early 2002 Hoobastank were dominating the MTV, and radio airwaves. "Crawling In the Dark" topped many rock charts. In late spring Hoobastank released thier second video "Running Away." Again Hoobastank's success was massive. "Running Away" reached number two on the Billboard Modern Rock Charts. Hoobastank were chosen for the Scorpion King Soundtrack with Godsmack, Sevendust, Nickelback, Creed and more in the spring as well. The two songs success made "Hoobastank" go platinum. The third single from "Hoobastank" was "Remember Me?" Hoobastank have toured with Jay-Z, Mos Def, De La Soul, 311, and N*E*R*D*/The Neptunes. "Running Away" was chosen for Now Thats What I Call Music 11. The album debuted at #2 on Billboard and has Nelly, Our Lady Peace, Creed, Shakira, Coldplay and more on it. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
