| The masked members of Slipknot have became the biggest mystery in nu-metal. Frontman Corey Taylor and Guitarist Jim Roots of Slipknot made a band before Slipknot and was Stone Sour. Later Corey, and Jim went into Slipknot, and bassist Economaki became the Slipknot's stage manager. Actually before Slipknot was Stone Sour. Taylor left his Stone Sour because of Slipknot's offer. Slipknot was doin well so he turned back to Stone Sour. In 2002 the news was out that Corey Taylor was in another band and would un-mask everybody was excited. Taylor first un-masked at pressconfrences, then in the groups first video "Get Inside." "Get Inside" is the heavy-metal side that Taylor was on in Slipknot, but it feautured some back up vocals and faster singing. Stone Sour's second single was heard before "Get Inside" because it was feautured on the Spiderman Soundtrack. The soundtrack feautures Sum 41, Nickelback's Chad Kroeger with Salvia's Josey Scott, The Hives, The Strokes, Default, Alien Ant Farm, Theory Of A Deadman, Aerosmith, Jerry Cantrell, and Injected. "Bother" was soon becoming very big. It flew up rock charts all over. It did very well on the Billboard Modern Rock chart. It was highly requested on rock radio stations and MTV. While "Bother" was shooting up rock charts Corey Taylor announced his biggest group Slipknot would retire so he could do more work with Stone Sour. Corey later retaracted that statement saying Slipknot would record again. The thirs single was "Inhale." The song and video focus on homelessness. The song is more of a rock song than metal like the rest of "Stone Sour." Joey Jordanson's group Murderdolls was getting much success too. Clown, and Paul Grey also started new side projects.
