Tao is a battery. Music is one of its circuits, the performer and listener are its electrodes. When one part is absent, nothing moves forward. The performer must perform; just as the listener must respond. Whether the musical offering is inspired or mundane matters as little as whether the response is boisterous or solemn. Both the flow of Tao between parties and the performance itself, are parts constantly present in the circuit. Every time suitable musicians and audience members come within hearing range, music happens and electric Tao flows. Please e-mail me. |
