My summer rims
.
Americian Racing Outlaws II
( Link for Details )
Model 62-5783
My X came with steel rims.. which work out perfect for our winters
( heavy salt content thrash rims)
When searching around for a dresser rims for summer duty, I came across the outlaws..
Always liked the full plate look over spokes.
Original Rim Spec
15x7  +40 Offset  5.25 Backspacing  or 5.5 depending on inside or outside the lip
Outlaw spec
15x7    -6 Offset  3.75 Backspacing  (to outside the lip)
Not a perfect match.. they basically kick the edge of the tire about 1 1/2" further than stock
Confused about Backspacing and offset.  In basic terms
Backspacing is the distance from the rear of the rim to the bolt plate in inches
Offset is the distance from  the center of the rim to the bolt plate in mm
Note: using either of these numbers don't work when trying to compare different width rims
Better detailed explainations can be found at Tirerack.com or at Americanracing.com
Some trimming was required.. with the stock longtrails.. this is what I had to cut in back and front of the front wheel to eliminate rubbing when turning
Still confused, click here to compare rims graphically
I drew up a few basic rim alternatives.. 15x7 & 15x8's
it shows how each rim will set up on the hub, compared to the stock rim at the top

I have since moved on to 31" BFG A/T Ko's to replace the Longtrails..
I also went with Calmini AAL's in the rear, and  cranked the T-bars
I finished off all rub issues by trimming the mud flap area lip off completely... something I wanted to do anyway because I found the lip  holds onto ice and hard snow during the winter months.. with no lip, the Ice & Snow falls straight out
