"Richard B. Riddick, escaped convict, murderer" That's Vin's alter ego in Pitch Black, the first film I ever saw him in. I was so impressed because the movie didn't leave me asking... "Why did you fools do that?" I only had two little criticisms of the actions in that movie. 1. If the sandcat was solar powered, why not see if all the lightsources you have found are enough to activate it? 2. If you know the beasties track blood and you've got the open flames anyhow, why didn't anyone cauterize their wounds when they happened? If you haven't seen this movie you really ought to. I'm eagerly awaiting the sequels. Check out the featurette on the website for some hints on what might be in the Chronicles Of Riddick |

Quite possibly the most intense eyes ever. A killer with a sense of justice? Or is it just vengeance?
I'm just a sucker for that grin. For a convict he has exceptionally nice teeth. Guess that bit they keep on him must help keep the smile healthy.

All photos on this page shamelessly scavenged from a variety of sites. If anyone can e-mail me with proper credits I'll gladly post them up with the pics. Until then I beg you forgive my desperate desire for good shots to leer at... errr... enjoy.

In Boiler Room, Vin plays Chris Varick, a fast talking smooth voiced salesman working in an out of the ordinary brokerage house. I recognized so many of the tactics they used from my own telemarketing jobs. Funny, none of the guys I've worked with ever looked that good in a suit. Of course, none of them ever made me wish I was a ChapStick either...

Ahh, the maestro has just clinched another sale. Somehow, Vin managed to put enough compassion through in his protrayal of this character that I didn't end up hating Chris as just another slimy con man out to screw whoever he has to just to get a payday. Now that takes talent.

Here we have Mr. Diesel as Dom in The Fast and the Furious, a movie that had all the good summer film points... cops, cars, chicks in skimpy clothes, and muscle men in muscle cars. Having grown up with a dad who ran his own garage I really liked the garage crew in the film. Yet again I want the car Vin ends up driving.

With co-star Paul Walker. The two of them won a MTV movie award for this film. For some funny reason Paul decided to let Vin keep the statuette...

Iron Giant is both the name of the movie and of the character Vin gave voice to. I have never been so emotionally affected by an animated movie. Sure, I cackle like mad at Robin Williams as the Genie in Aladdin, but this one had me laughing, crying, worrying & wishing right along with the characters.

Every time I look at this scene I can picture Vin's long-fingered hands carefully putting together a train set for his nephews or any future sons he may have. I also find myself wondering if this confessed D&D player ever painted miniatures to go with the characters. Somehow the precision and determination to get it "just right" that the giant shows in fixing these tracks seems very true to what we've seen of Vin; he puts everything he has into making all of his roles the best they can be.
The next two pictures are a demonstration of just how much Vin gets "in to" a part. The first is a still from the movie, part of a scene where Hogarth is teaching the Giant to speak our language. The second is from "the making of" and is a shot of Vin voicing the same scene.
