LINSEY PALAZZI
Ok, so this is me.  I live in Verona, PA (near Pittsburgh) with my husband Jason and our .  .  . 2 dogs, 1 cat, 9 rats, 1 bearded dragon, 2 white's tree frogs, 3 hermit crabs and dozen fish.  Even before I was a high school science teacher, I've always been an animal person, so science is a good fit.  I originally saw myself working at the zoo and, although I still might work at the animal zoo someday, today I work at a different type of zoo - Saltsburg Middle High School

When not teaching at the school, I enjoy leading students to be more ecologically minded through Eco Action.  This student-motivated group works within the school to encourage students to conserve the natural world around them.  Among other things, we've started a recycling program, helped to plant trees, and other things.  Check out our website for more information.

Outside of school, Jason and I attend
Trinity Tower United Methodist Church.  I also work with Pittsburgh Rat Lovers' Club to find homes for rats in need.  I love to read and write and I just started taking Judo at the South Hills Judo Club. I'm also taking master's courses at Mississippi State University.

It's Linsey (Olnhausen) Palazzi, if you knew me before 2004.  I'm originally from Greensburg, PA and I matriculated from
Hempfield Area High School.  In 2002, I graduated from Penn State, Altoona College including a short abroad stint in Australia, at ANU.  My bachelor's degree is in Biology.  After Penn State, I did a short stint at the University of NC in Greensboro, NC but quickly returned to Altoona to be with my, now, husband.  After we married, I returned to school at IUP where I earned my bachelor's in Biology Education (and teaching certificate) in 2006.  Right after graduation, I started at Saltsburg Middle High School, as a Biology teacher.

This series is so spectacular that I read the first book through twice in one weekend.  Even now, when I've had a bad day, I go home and read Twilight to feel better.
