I added a few new images from Kit #6 to my image pages. I will work on trying to put up some Xwp ep clips tomorrow. I had to take out my sound card temporarily but I will throw it back in tomorrow and be back up again. I seen the requests for eps and will try to do the requests first. It will take time though.
For those of you who were not aware, Lucy was on a Irish late late show on May 23rd, 2003 while working on the Irish portion of the Woman Warrior series she is doing for ther Discovery channel. Mary D has screengrabs at her website of the interview. So check em out :) Cheya on the Merwolfpack list posted these comments as well on Lucy's interview:
Well, she talked about coming to Ireland and the fact that she has
family in Co Clare, about the series she's filming about Strong women,
which is why she's here and about Grainne Mhaoil (the historical figure
she's here to film about). She talked a little about Xena, the
merchandising etc, meeting Bill Clinton and she told a cute little story
about her kids. Rob told her that one of them, Julius I'd imagine,
misses her a lot and he's kissing the Xena fridge magnets they have!
Cute!
She was wearing blue jeans and a shirt that brought out the colour of
her eyes. She looked gorgeous and rested and very relaxed.
The Late Late Show interview in Ireland will be repeated Thursday 29th May, early morning at 3.45am on RTE 1.
And looks like Claire Stansfield will be changing gears in her career. On her fan website she posted this recent note:
Sorry I have been MIA for so long. I have been very busy with my new
business venture. I started designing and came up with a t shirt line
called C&C California. My partner and I were featured on Oprah
Winfrey on Wednesday and all hell has broken loose!! I am so grateful
and completely fulfilled. Working long hours and loving it. You can
see the t shirts at www.Oprah.com as well as www.eluxury.com and also
check out store location at my new site www.candccalifornia.com (big
thanks to sexy Aida for the quick site building). I must admit I have
been really missing all of the Xena fans, but am happy (and sad) to
say that I will be seeing some of you in August at my very last U.S.
con...that's right...I'm gotta hang up the old fish nets and fan fic
and say adieu. Tickets sales are low, but I'm still showing up god
dammit!! The show and all the conventions were so much fun and I
cannot tell you how much joy you have all brought into my life over
the last 6 years! This site will be gone, as well as my filthy mouth
at cons. But you can always drop me a line at the e mail on
www.candccalifornia.com and I will stay in touch I promise. Again
stay strong ... big chicks rule and I f**#@#g love you all madly.
Don't ever forget that.

I am very sorry I have not posted and update in quite a few days. I actually have been adding alot of the Pasadena Last Dance Clips, but been so tired and busy I have no actually updated the What's New Page. I ham done uploading and posting all the clips for it now. I really just wanted to get them finished and up. And now they are.
I added three more Last Dance clips and I thought I be able to finish today but may take another day to finish it up yet.
Lucy was on a U.K show called Graham Norton on the BBC Network. Barbra on the Flawless list posted this account of the interview:
Just finished watching the V Graham Norton show. Lucy looked stunning in
an off the shoulder top and trousers, and looked very tall (she was
wearing very high heels).
She had quite a bit of screen time, in between Graham doing his rude,
cheeky chappy bits, and before the other guests (a rap group called Big
Brothas, or something - apparently they are at no 2 in the pop charts,
but I'm not up to speed on them ) came on to talk and sing their
single.
Lucy told a (IMHO slightly too long, unfortunately) anecdote about the
two times she met President Clinton and how she was on his 'things to do
in NZ list'!
Then she stood watching while Graham dressed up a skinny male from the
audience in a Xena costume made using a Xena website's costume
instructions (with lots of papier mache ). He didn't look as silly as
ypu might think! Then they shot some XWP opening titles using the Xena
man, and played them while Lucy did the voiceover.
Lucy let GN direct the conversation, so she answered his questions about
Xena, Xena fans (in particular lesbians to whom the show was 'a gift'
(GN is a very gay-friendly show)), Xena kissing Gabrielle, Xena suddenly
revealing to Gabrielle out of the blue how 10 years ago she had a
special girlfriend (presumably Akemi), how getting her head chopped off
hurt the fans etc.
She also mentioned her Warrior Women documentary series. She has already
been to China, in spite of SARS!
GN made funny comments about several Xena dolls which he pulled out.
Lucy was rather taken with the Gabrielle bobblehead, which she didn't
seem to have come across before. She said Renee would love it and want
to put it on the dashboard of her car! She wondered if there was a
bobblehead of her too, but GN didn't have one.(Thanks to Barbra for posting her account of the interview)
Seems Lucy has already gone to France for the Discovery Doco Warrior Women. She was photographed on a gorgeous white horse - and looks absolutely gorgeous. The pictures are on the Centre de Tourisme équestre " La Landelle ... "La Landelle" lies between Baugé and Saumur at the crossroads of the forests of Chandelais and Monnaie. Here, horse lovers, whether beginners or experienced riders, can go for rides in small groups of up to 6 people, according to level, in complete safety. The Centre also offers lessons for beginners in the school, courses for all levels and can arrange for French Equestrian Federation (FFE) exams to be taken. There are also one or two-day rides which will allow you to discover the countryside around Baugé and the Loire Valley. (the info is from the English section of the site) http://lalandelle.free.fr/photos.htmCheck out the photos http://lalandelle.free.fr/xena2.jpghttp://lalandelle.free.fr/xenanath.jpg(Thank you to Mary D for posting the information.)
And the sweepstakes for the 100,000 dollar Xena sword in conjuction with the release od XWP Season One on DVD took place rencently and Wire Image has photos up for viewing from the event. Just go to their homepage and type Xena in the seach box to find and view them

I added last night and today six more clips to Last Dance in Pasadena and I figure I can finish it in a day or two. Being it is Mother's Day there isn't much Lucy news but I woudl check out Mary D's website as she has a few good new articles up of Lucy and some news on how you can order a magazine she was in recently, NZ Woman's Day as I recall. One again if you have issues downloading just email me at xena2010@shaw.ca and I will email the clips to you. Just please make sure the account you wish me to email to allows 5 meg or less attachements. Have a good Mother's Day!
May 6th
I added three more clips to the Last Dance in Pasadena pages and will try to add more tomorrow. Unfortunately life is still busy.
And I also want to with Judah Tapert a happy first birthday and many more to come!! Born on May 7th, 2002 it is his birthday today over in New Zealand and tomorrow on our side of the world.
And there is a small mention of Lucy's new movie, "The Ugly Americans" at Breaking News talking about all the movies to be filmed and cause congestion in Prague this summer. Have a good night everyone
May 4th
I added last night three new Last Dance in Pasadena clips and will add more hopefully by tomorrow. I know some people are having trouble getting them due to bandwidth constrainments, so you can just email me at Xena2010 and I can send them to you :)
As well Lucy was a co hoster at the TUI NZ Music awards and Mary D over at the Ausxip website has a nifty lil video file and some screengrabs of her at the awards. Definitely check it out!
And Lucy Lawless was on the Holmes New Zealand show April 28th talking about the mess over the Starship name change and defending the name as it was originally. Mary D has screengrabs up of Lucy's appearance and the video can be viewed here from the TvNZ site.
As well the Nz Herald has an article up about Lucy and her frocks at the NZ Music Awards as well along with co host Oliver Driver, this year's NZ Awards was considered the funniest. Wander over to read the article, a good read.
And yet another article on the NZ Herald site, regarding the Starhip Hospital that Lucy is on the board for and the name change is up. It is very funny talking about possible marketing strategies and of course Lucy Lawless is mentioned. It is worth reading because it is humourous. :P
And yet a third article at the NZ Herald talks about the new computer network implemented at the Starship Children's Hospital that will allow children to be diagnosed immediately with video conferencing rather than having transport them to the hospital. Lucy was there for the unveiling and talked about how she felt about the network :)
There is also a review at TimeStar.com on the Season One DVDs released not too long ago and Lucy is mentioned along with Renee and what the DVDs include on them.
The Episodes That Created a Legend, Forays On to DVD From Anchor Bay Entertainment:
Xena battles on in Anchor Bay Entertainment's DVD release of "Xena: Warrior Princess" Season One. From the highly-popular, syndicated television series, the episodes that created a legend are now available in a deluxe collector's edition. With her sword and chakram and quick martial arts techniques, a female hero emerged on television, "Xena: Warrior Princess". Xena (Lucy Lawless), a warrior who embarked on epic adventures, quickly became a favorite among both men and women. Her beauty and sensuality, implacable will and charismatic character continues to entrance audiences worldwide. "Xena: Warrior Princess" Season One will be available on DVD April 29, 2003 for a SRP of $89.98.
Now for Canadians who wish to get the Season One DVDs, it seems the best place to order them in my opinion is FutureShop.ca as it includes an extra bonus disk that other retailers are not privy to. Apparantely FutureShop is a subsidarary of Best Buy in the USA and therefore can offer the bonus disk. They are priced around 75.99 instore and online they can be purchased for 79.99 with free shipping.
