WHO? | ||||||
WHAT? WHY? WHEN? WHERE? | ||||||
So who's part of the story? Who does what? To begin with, there is The Maestro Puppet Xeno, in charge of this whole project - main engineer and instrumentalist and gatherer of inspiration. Puppet plays some instruments and writes most of the lyrics. Puppet creates the songs, arranges them and fixes them mainly on-the-fly during the recording process. Beginning from scratch, always ending up with something fiendishly unique. Puppet loves a couple of bands: mostly new wave and industrial rock bands, but he has been caught listen to d&b, electro-techno and remix64 tunes aswell. In fact he's busy creating remix64 tunes himself. One day he might even publish some, accordingly. Secondly, there is the all-time favorite Dr No. Dr No plays beats and is very very good at that. No drummer in the world has Dr No's stamina or sense of timing. No drummer in the world can produce such raw and harsh beats as consistently as Dr No, no drummer in the world can create higher gain, higher end sounds and make more feet move than Dr No. No drummer in the world can simultaneously pump out rapid synth arps and grinding basslines as if the earth is shaking, collapsing in the surround sound of a gritty pad panning all across the room. No drummer in the world could do that. Lest the drummer had seventeen arms and a multitude of tentacles. You guessed it right. Dr No is a machine. Third of all there are a couple of others who were either part of the band's history or are freelancing in and out of sight. To those out there who seriously contributed to the sound and sometimes recordings of Totem Spectre, I'd like to say - "You didn't have to help me, but you did, and you did, and you did, and I thank you." |
