XXXG-01HII Gundam Heavyarms Kai (OAV Version)

The Heavyarms Kai is probably the best designed out of all of the OAV Gundams. This Hajime Katoki version of the Heavyarms is even more lethal than the original and the first thing that you would notice is that it's got double barreled gatling guns on both right and left arms now. But something that you might not have noticed is the fact that these gatling guns are not beam gatlings like in the TV series. Rather, they shoot bullets. Also, the OAV version also has about three times the amount of missiles than that of the TV series. But, the melee weapon, the heat knife on the right arm, has been removed from the OAV version. However, it's new armorments more than make up for this loss.

The Heavyarms Kai, along with the Gundams Sandrock Kai, Deathscythe Hell, and Wing Zero were supposed to have been disposed in the Sun. However, with the rebellion of the Mariemeia Army, Quatre rushes to get the Gundams back. Then on Earth, Trowa fights with the Heavyarms Kai against the Mariemeia Army. One interesting fact is that when the Heavyarms Kai first entered battle, it was wearing the same clown half-mask that Trowa wears in the circus. I think this was another one of those things that the producers threw in to make the story better, just like the angelic wings on the OAV Wing Zero.
