OZ-06-MS Mobile Suit Leo

Standard Leo- This is the standard mobile suit for all of the main organizations around the earth sphere. This mobile suit originated from the father of all mobile suits, the Tallgeese, and it is the Tallgeese's closest relative. You can see many of it's similairities on the Leo. Nevertheless, it's performance is far from the Tallgeese, being slow and difficult to manuver, it's the perfect target for suits like the nimble Aries. Still, the Leo can be fitted with a wide range of deadly weapons, from your standard 105 mm beam rifle to the shell-firing dober gun. It is also sometimes seen with a shield with two beam sabers attached on the right shoulder. Also, this suit was probably the first of OZ's "Zodiac Series" to enter mass-production. This suit is used in basically every situation, including base defense and attack operations, and despite it's many problems, it's widely used till the end of the series. I think this was due to the fact that the Leo was probably cheaper to produce, and it was made avalible to all organizations. Most United Earth Sphere Alliance soldiers prefer this suit over the superior Aries, probably because it was easier to train pilots for this easy to handle suit.

Leo Commander Type- This rare variation of the Standard Leo is only found operating with the United Earth Sphere Alliance's company commanders. It's pretty much the same as the Standard Leo, but it has two laser cannons mounted on it's shoulders. It's usually seen armed with a beam rifle and in battle it rates like just another Standard Leo, but probably costs more to produce. So why bother with this suit?

Leo Early Type- This suit was the original Leo, and it looks almost just like the Standard Leo with the exception of the armor on it's shoulders. This early variation of the Leo is still used in some parts of the world, and can be seen as Colonel Bunto's mobile suits in former China. It's not much different to the Leo in combat performance, but like all mobile suits, it really depends on the pilot.

Leo Space Type- Now this suit is also used widely to the end of the series. It's the backbone mobile suit for all organizations trying to win superiority in space, from the United Earth Sphere Alliance to the White Fang. It, like the Standard Leo, is a basic suit with minimal combat abilities, and also like the Leo, it can be equipped with a wide range of weapons. But unlike the Standard Leo, the Space Leo is equipped with a radar disc on it's back. But being the standard Space mobile suit for the United Earth Sphere Alliance, when OZ's space force attacks, they are no match for OZ's new weapon, the Taurus Space Mobile Dolls...
