What is M:WoT?
M:WoT is an organized fanfiction site dedicated to the characters of Marvel Comics, Inc.. The setting is in the year 2025 and the legends of the twentieth century are now watching as new heroes take their place. Many, such as Machine Man and Black Widow, have died in confrontations with powerful enemies. These battles also left marks upon the common popluace resulting in fear and hate.
Uh, okay. But what I really need to know is what "fanfiction" is.
Well, fanfiction is where a group of people write stories about their favorite characters. Sometimes, you'll stumble across an "archive" which does not keep continuity. Here, we have continuity. This means all of our stories (save the occassional What If? storyline) take place in a shared universe and the ramifications of one story may spread through the entire site..

Okay, I've got the go ahead with my title. How do I write it?
You should type it up in Notepad and send it as an attachment to marvelwot@comic.com. Do not, I repeat, Do Not copy and paste it into your e-mail! It causes a huge mess which takes me quite some time to get straight. Oh, and be sure to use "novel" format. Also be sure to include horizontal rules and paragraph tabs in the writing and be sure to spell check! If you don't know HTML whatsoever, e-mail me and I'll tell you how to do those two things. Also, if you submit something to me, and it's ok-ed, you must have your first issue done by at least the following month, or your plans will be scrapped.

Okay, in case you're new at fanfic I'm going to run you through how to submit a proposal.
Think of a character or team you're interested in writing about and check the character reservations page to see if they are being used by anyone else.
Send an e-mail to Matthew Blanchard. Please use the words M:WoT Proposal in your subject and copy what is between "start" and "end" below into your body.

Fill out the information on the page as detailed below:
Title: Just as it appears, tell me the title of the story you're proposing (i.e. X-Men, Fantastic Four, Daredevil)
Major Characters:Give me a list of the characters that will play a major part in your story.
Minor Characters:Give me a list of the characters you'd like to be able to use in your stories but aren't necessary
Setting and Mood:Give me an idea of the setting (where it takes place, i.e. New York, Hong Kong, London, etc.) and mood (i.e. dark, horror, light, comedic, etc.)
Plot Outlines:Give me your plot outlines for the first 6 or 7 issues of your series.
Characer Bios:If you have any new characters or characters you've changed significantly, tell me who they are and what they're about...
