peoples of the New Jersey region, and his father was Chinese-American. His mother taught him to respect nature and the Native-American belief of animals being 'brothers' or spiritual guides. His father taught him the way of peace,Taoism, and Kung Fu.
After his parents died, Matthew was sperated from his younger sister. Despite the fact that he had a job and worked hard at it, putting in a lot of overtime, he didn't make enough money to support both him and his sister. This convinced him to place Tyra in a foster home, only because he felt she would be better off and to give her the chance at a normal life. Sadly, he lost contact with her and to this day has no idea as to her where abouts or what became of her.
As the burden of living began to crush him, Matthew followed in the footsteps of his parents' heritage and embarked on a spiritual journey. It was during this time that he discovered he could communicate with animals and aquired a new friend, a crow that never leaves his shoulder. Wanting to find out more about his amazing abilities, he packed up his merger belongings, including his prized Stratocaster; and headed to up state New York with his feathered companion in search of a school he heard about for the gifted that might be able to help him. |
