WOLVERINE (continued)
He eventually escaped the Weapon X program and has no memories of it or his past prior to the project, except for few flash backs of the painful experiments that were done on him. He was found wandering in the snow of the Canadian wilderness by the Hudsons; naked and confused, with only a pair of dog tags hinting to his identity as Wolverine.

Following Wolverine's encounter with the Hulk, Canada's
Department H conscripted him to lead Alpha Flight, a team of superhuman government agents. Wolverine aided James Hudson in the initial phases of the team's creation, out of repayment for taking him in when he needed help, but left Department H after a brief stint for personal reasons.

Logan spent years after leaving Department H criss crossing Canada, earning money by fighting in bars while searching for clues to his true idendity and past. It was during this time, (15yrs. after the Weapon X project) that he met the young runaway
Rogue and encounterd
the X-Men for the first time. With promises from Professor X to help him uncover his past, and an oath Logan had given to take care of Rogue; he decided to remain with the X-Men, standing in defense of a world on the brink of genetic war.

However, Wolverine being part of the X-Men hasn't come without it's problems. He's been a constant source of irritation, especially for the X-Men's team leader
Cyclops. Logan took an interest in and began flirting with the young man's fiance Jean Grey. All that ended, however in the guise of the Nordic beauty Valkyrie. Logan's attentions quickly turned to her after she joined the team. Their relationship was explosive at the onset, but Wolverine eventually won her over with his "charming" personality. They have since married and have a daughter (Enara) who Logan adores. She's his "baby girl" who he loves immensely. And despite his gruffness and apparent hostility towards others, Logan has become quite the family man and is a loving husband and devoted father.
