She can telekinetically control her hair with exceptional fine control, She can use it to ensnare fore, create a whirlwind by rotating it like a fan, or cracking it like a whip)

Background:
Vanessa was born to Delia Vega and Michael Barron; both of her parents were mutants and worked within the government. Michael her father was a telepath/lawyer who rallied for Mutant/Civil Rights within his family’s country (Mexico) and the United States. While finally moving to New York to pursue in his work, he was considered by some governments to be a threat. Therefore he was entrusted to the S.H.E.I.L.D for his safety, they granted him a bodyguard who was an undercover agent/spy by the name of Delia Vega. She too was a mutant (limited precog/metamorph). The two automatically started to have feelings for each other and soon fell in love and got married. As soon as they got married, four years later (living in Texas now) they gave birth to Vanessa.
By the age of five, they noticed she had unusually strong psionic powers like telekinetic abilities starting manifest. They knew she was probably to be a mutant but thought it was odd for her to be already getting powers like that at such an early age. They took a trip back to New York to visit they’re old friend Charles at the Xavier Institute and see if he could tell what was going on with Vanessa. Dr. Hank McCoy ran tests on Vanessa and discovered that she carried quite a unique gene that was unlike any other. He determined it came from Delia, she reveled that one of her ancestors came from ancestral line of Vampires but later on in generations one of her ancestors married a mutant and somehow altered the genetic make-up of her family’s DNA in which created stronger mutant genes. But however, certain individuals also carried a latent gene that was of vampire in nature, which could possibly create a hybrid of half mutant/half vampire. Mutant Vampirism I guess you can say. She thought that her children would be fine, but Vanessa gene became active which created more psionic energy (than usual) for her to use and in each growing age virtually reaching puberty where all of her powers would manifest. She possibly would become a very powerful psion in the future, but also could unleash a fierce killer giving her the same similar attributes as vampires. But at this age it was too soon to tell if that could happen. But Delia and Michael feared with powers like Vanessa’s she could possibly be a weapon of mass-destruction if people found out about her. Michael asked Charles if anything were to happen to them, that he would take care of Vanessa and teach her how to use her powers. Charles accepted of course.
