If you use the battledome the petpet that has gained a level can be extremely helpful! The damage icons are multiplied by your petpets level. So if your petpet was level 3, and you did 30 icons of damage, the end result would be a whopping 90 icons of damage! That should level out the expensive battledome items a bit and provide a new spice to battling :)
