Testimony

What is a testimony, and what is my testimony?
The following are two definition entries that Merriam Webster gives for
testimony:
2a : firsthand authentication of a fact, evidence
3b : a public profession of religious experience
So, when I speak of this being my testimony, I am saying that this is my public
profession of religious experience, given to you firsthand.
Or simply stated: it is my
personal story, focusing on how and why I became a Christian in the spring of
1995.
Why am I sharing it in this manner?
I chose to put it on the web so that I could share it with everybody.
That being said, feel free to print this, email this, tell somebody else about
it, or do anything else you wish with it.
The Format of my testimony
In writing my testimony, I completely open myself up
to you. Originally, I had planned to write a one page testimony, but when
I sat down and started to write the following is what came out. I write
plainly and simply...and only of what I know, and it is the truth about myself.
I have divided my testimony into the following four different parts:
Part 1 - My Life Before Knowing Christ
From birth to college, my deteriorating view God.
Part 2 - How
I Became Aware Of My Need
From freshman year to junior year in college, how I went from calling myself a
Catholic to an agnostic to an atheist.
Part 3 - How I Received Christ
The fateful night that I tried to prove that God and religion was for ignorant
unlearned fools.
Part 4 - What Christ Has Done And Is Doing In My Life
Internal peace, joy, and love; From silent years in fear to the present day
proclaiming the Good News!
"He who has ears, let him hear".
