Praise be to the God and Father of our
Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort,
who comforts us in all
our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble
with the comfort we
ourselves have received from God.
For just as the sufferings of Christ
flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows.
2 Corinthians 1:3-5
Dear Family and Friends,
My
internship last year proved to be an extremely
difficult time for me. It was a testing of
my faith, and “happened that I might not rely on myself, but on God, who raises
the dead”. (2
Corinthians 1:9). Now, I can’t but
help to testify even more to God’s faithfulness, and speak even more boldly
about His comfort – even as He comforted me as I suffered through such simple
troubles.
I
call my troubles simple, especially as I reflect upon the sufferings of others
in this world. Even more so do my
‘troubles’ become insignificant as I reflect and meditate upon the sufferings
of Jesus Christ. That He loved the world
so much that He came and willingly
suffered so greatly - and even died in the place of sinners – is such good
news, that I am compelled once again by His love to go and share this Gospel on
a medical mission trip.
This
time, I am blessed with the opportunity to go to Kabul,
Afghanistan for the month of March and work with fulltime missionary
doctor, Tim Fader, who is busy building and developing a hospital and clinic
practice.
If
you would like to join me in this labor, please consider joining my prayer
support team. This would involve a
commitment of praying daily for me, the team, and the people of

Grace and peace in Christ,
For scarcely for a righteous man will
one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die.
But God demonstrates His own love toward us,
in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
