Exerpt from statement- My co-worker came down with a nasty eye infection, it was brilliantly colorful but terribly disgusting to look at. I chose to photograph him with a 35mm camera to portray the reality of his pain. Then I combined a digital image of my progressively happy and modern friend to overlay the disturbed eye and create my piece using both tools. |

Exerpt from statement- I've found silverware in in the cupboards, milk of magnesia with the dishes, my keys in the freezer and a re-appearing dirty sponge in the microwave. I finally had to put an end to this mystery. |

Exerpt from statement- She began noticing the fine lines at the tender, young age of 32- the year was 1940. It amazes me that my grandmother is still alive and pushing people's buttons so well. I don't think she can read a calendar, much less remember where she put it but I think she'd be amazed if she knew what the word 'amazed' meant. I've seen old pictures of her and I must admit, she wasn't a looker back then. I think she looks amazing now! |
