Exerpt from statement-

My co-worker came down with a nasty eye infection, it was brilliantly colorful but terribly disgusting to look at. I chose to photograph him with a 35mm camera to portray the reality of his pain.

Then I combined a digital image of my progressively happy and modern friend to overlay the disturbed eye and create my piece using both tools.

She began noticing the fine lines at the tender, young age of 32- the year was 1940.

It amazes me that my grandmother is still alive and pushing people's buttons so well. I don't think she can read a calendar, much less remember where she put it but I think she'd be amazed if she knew what the word 'amazed' meant.


I've seen old pictures of her and I must admit, she wasn't a looker back then. I think she looks amazing now!
