A memorial concert for Leslie Cheung was held at the Da-An Forest Park in Taipei on April 7th, organized by Rock Record, Universal Record and Tong-Chen film Inc.

The stage was decorated with white Lilies, Orchids and candles, with three huge posters of Leslie hung in the center. Two large message boards were placed on both sides of the stage for people to sign their condolences and wishes. More than a thousand of people attended the concert and many brought flowers or posters to pay their last respect to Leslie.
The concert began at 5:00PM with the orchestra playing Leslie's song "Chase" as overture, followed by a series of theme songs from his movies. Then clips of music videos, interviews and movies were shown to the audience.

Afterwards, Winnie Shin Xiao-Chi, the only singer to perform in the concert, sang the them song from "Farewell My Concubine" in tears and eventually cried with broken heart behind the stage. Many fans were hugging each other and sobbing their heart out along with Winnie Shin's singing. Following her performance, several Taiwanese singers (including Chau Wa-Kin) from Rock Record gathered together and put flowers on the stage to pay their respect, then the concert was concluded with clips of Leslie's two concerts and ended around 10:00PM.

Although it rained on and off during the evening, all the people stayed until the end of the concert.

A white butterfly appearing from nowhere was also noted to stayed on the piano for a while before Winnie Shin's performance. Some people believed that Leslie had turned into a butterfly and came to see his fans for the very last time.
