In-situ synthesis of fine Co and Ni particles has been carried out by
gamma-irradiation at room temperature in the preorganized gel of
polyacrylamide. The metallic nanoparticles of Co and Ni are well
dispersed in the polymer matrix. The nanoparticles of Co are stable in air.

It is shown that the critical fields in these nanoparticles are enhanced

* Superparamagnetic behavior in Nanocrystalline powders of
Ortho-ferrite GdFeO3 - G. Yashwant, G. Ravikumar, M. R. Singh,
P. K. Mishra
Nano crystalline powders of GdFeO3 were studied using magnetization
measurements. Particles of 9 mm diameter exhibited superparamagnetic
behavior below a blocking temperature of about 35K. The 45 nm
paricles remained strongly hysteretic upto the room temperature..........
