Whereby the minions of evil reign over the gentle land in cruel hardship and toil.
There shall be gathered those of steel, magic and might to join together, wielded as one, each drawn by the acts of the past to rise up and defend the light of creation.
Beset by perils, threats of a most unholy nature; prevail they must, else all will be lost and the land be plunged into a maelstrom of death and destruction. The very souls reft from those whom live amongst the gentle earth.
Be wary companions, thoust must heed thy warnings and omens. For there shall come to pass one whom will guide you and lead you to the icons of power, to be unleashed by the keys of magic, steel and love.
The gathering of these icons will spell the destruction of all that is evil. You must not fail in your alloted tasks.
Companions, the fate of the land relies upon the steady hand and hearts of those chosen to fight for the light of justice, peace and love.

THE PROPHECY...
THE SETTING

The Setting is the beautiful World of Praelan. A medieval based society, divided into several realms.
The principle weapons are edged weapons and magic.
Terasi
Inland North, bordered by Kantara to the West, Wyldewood to the North, The Grasslands to the South and Carpathia to the East. A realm headed by the Emperor Yoshinko Hoshima, ruler of the imperial capital and the clans within Terasi.   Terasi is built upon a flat-water plain, intersected by a main river route, which is one of the main trading routes.  The culture of Terasi is based upon the ancient Japanese feudal system.  The Canals and its river network systems is a lifeline.
Carpathia
Bordered to the East by the Krakkine Mountains. North by the Wyldewood and West by the Grasslands.  Carpathia is a realm wherein resides the International Mage School. An Institute dedicated to magic.

Wyldewood
A vast expanse of primeval forest stretching along the North of the Continent, wherein reside many magical creatures and home to the legendary and mythical Guardians. The forest itself
is alive in ways that frighten the city-bred dwellers of Praelan.
Beware those who think to denude the great forests for greed
or profit.





Kantara
A realm bordering the great Kaera Sea.  A maritime civilisation, this great nation of shipbuilders and seafarers stretch along the miles of coastline and guard the lands within from raiders across the sea.   It is bordered to the  North by Wyldewood, East by the Grasslands and South East by the Desert of Torgaine.



Kraggen Mire
Once a famed and beautiful city surrounded by the deep green swamplands, is South.  The land is now desert, engulfed by the approaching sands of the nearby desert of Torgaine.   There are still inhabitants of that land, adapted to the desert.  They do not appear often in the lands of the North.  The Desert is hot, dry and inhospitable, the lands to the South have been little explored since Kraggen Mire had disappeared under the sand.

The Grasslands
A vast expanse of steppe stretching across the interior of Praelan.  The grasslands are maintained and travelled by the vast clans of  the nomads.  They consider all outsiders “outlanders” and are fiercely protective of their plains.  None have returned who ventured into their province.  The nomads are not quite human, they look almost exactly as the other inhabitants of Praelan, but their cat-slit eyed pupils tell another story. They are great horseherders.   The grasslands have no name, simply that they exist; the people live and travel according to the seasons and pastures.







The East
Not much is known about these lands, they are blocked from the West by the forbidding ranges of the Krakkine Mountains that extend along the length of Praelan.  Many beasts lurk within those mountains.  They are dangerous to travel.   These lands will ultimately be discovered in the quests.

The Story, The Beginning..... Your Quest!

A darkness is spreading across the land. Raids from beasts unknown, strange warriors in dress and armour unrecognisable.. The leaders of the realms of Praelan are uneasy, something stirs.. It is yet indefinable..
Within the realms various peoples are gathering, A guardian resides within Wyldewood hearing dreams from the voice of prophecy; to gather companions in a quest to retrieve the icons of power to restore the land.
The Companions themselves are gathered from the four corners of the world. Each sent to complete a task. Guided by a higher power; the voice of prophecy which resides within the
Book of One, they gather at the summons of the Guardian.







The Book of One. A prophecy, the manifestation of the Light of  Praelan. An ancient binding of pages, written by prophets for a time of blood and war. It foretells the gathering of the treasures of Praelan, and the companions whom will wield them.

Once joined the artefacts of powers do unleash destruction upon the agents of darkness...
